2021 willys sport reporting low pressure when it's not low {at the tire was 40lbs}. i tried over inflating a few lbs and under a few then back to 37lbs. the report said inflate to 37lbs made the tpm display worse.
i would be happy to just turn it off. stupid extra electronics. its the only fancy gadget in the truck. bought out of the box bone stock. i imagine they have to plug it in to some satellite in space. anyone have the same?
much obliged for any insight folks.

Probably needs to be reprogrammed at the dealership. It doesn't communicate with outer space.

Did you drive it after changing the tire pressure?
The sensors may be sleeping until you drive the truck a few feet. They don't keep up with your inflating the tires once they go to sleep.

TPMS has been around for years, is a federal requirement because tire issues have killed people because people aren't smart enough to check their tires now and then.
Welcome to the 21st century and planet earth vehicles built in the last several years.

It's federal law the dealership has to make it work if requested.
I can't say it's a warranty thing - but a dealer can't legally cause them to not work.

Was this a single tire reading incorrectly or all the tires? If it's just one tire then for shits and giggles I would switch the failed tire with into a correct reading position, see if the failure followed to the new position. If it follows then it's a possibility the TPMS in that tire shit the bed. They don't fail often considering the hostile environment that they are in, but it happens.
