Not that I entirely disagree, but when I replaced mine I went through the fender well and it just wasn’t that bad. Now… not making all of the fender clips more removable/reusable for the purpose of replacing that battery is where I think they could have done better.
Just removing the re-useable clips and removing the wheel, the battery is still completely accessible without removing the whole liner. This is what I do. Saves alot of time

That’s what I was saying, but those clips are very “breaky”…and that could have been done better IMHO

I can say they are better then Ram. Atleast theres a chance the Chrismats tree clips on these might survive. No shot with Rams

You're gaining access by just removing the 4 trees and 3 bolts and jerking the liner around the rivets? ( the ones you don't need to remove to remove the liner, not talking about the 3 that you do on the rear side )

Yeah, Remove wheel, pop the christmas trees. fold the back half of the liner towards the front resting on the brake rotor. 3 bolts, and hold on to the tray and bam theres your battery. Not easy access as far as view, but dosent require a pop-rivet gun.

Thanks brother. I have the gun just sick of buying OEM rivets.

I bought the plastic rivet tool and it came with an assortment of rivets (4 sizes, 10 ea I think) at Harbor Freight for like the price of one OEM rivet...

No need to mess with those pesky rivets. The entire fender/liner assembly removes and reinstalls quickly and easily. I didn't even need to remove my 35" tires to change the aux battery.
