Just curious is driving around the only way ti reset the sensors (when installing mew wheels with new sensors)? I just got some new wheels to install the old BFG's I have on for now until I wear those out. Got some new tpms sensors (did my homework, got the correct ones as far as I can tell - pre 06/21 for my Dec 2020 build date). Just wondering now if there is a reset procedure other than driving around? I have a relearn tool you walk around tire to tire on I used to use on my Durama and Chevys which was eastly enough. But not finding anything on how to enter relearn mode or anything on this Gladiator. Anyone able to give me some tips or just drive...?

They are supposed to automatically acquire the signal for the sensors. Usually takes driving down the road a few miles. As far as I'm aware, there isn't a programming procedure for the Gladiator TPMS sensors.

Like others mentioned, driving around and they should auto ID.

That being said, I did learn in another thread that with a tool like JScan, you can program TPMS ID's to a specific position if you know the ID numbers before hand. I really do not know when that would be handy but it is there.

Ya know I was going to take a pic of each sensor and the numbers on them as I installed them in each rim but I left my phone inside this morning and was in a rush to get to the tire shop. Of course we started getting snow a few days ago when the rims showed up so tried to get there early in the AM knowing I wouldnt be the only one there. No worries though if they reset on their own it shouldnt be a bit deal I guess.

@The Yeti have you had them installed? Do they work? If not you may want the tire shop to clone the old sensors to the new ones so you can rest assured that they will relearn on there own. :like:

I popped them in the rims and dropped the tires and rims off this morn. They were busy and said I'd probly be able to pick them up tomorrow. I was fine with that. I called to let em know if the didn't get to them yet to put the black walls out instead (normally I've always went white walls out) but they said actually they are done and were going to be calling me right away. So I just unloaded them. They're in the garage now waiting on me. My build date is December of 2020. I ordered the SCHRADER 29093 TPMS sensors. Description says
"

Programmed
No programming required before installation - follow OE relearn procedure after installation."
It says more but won't let me cut and paste that part and I'm using a phone to post so... hoping I'll be fine once I get em on there. I was pretty confident I'd be okay when I ordered them...

Problem with coding them to each location is if you rotate your tires that moves and you would need to reconfigure the system. Nice to know which one is the problem from a display or read out but over all could be a pain.

Either driving, or adding or removing pressure will update the system. You don’t need to drive around. Just turn the ignition to Run, but it doesn’t need to be running. Either add or remove several pounds of pressure and you’ll watch it update. The dash reporting is a few seconds behind reality, so patience is good.

Hey thanks for that. Makes sense, give it something to monitor and once the setting changes it will update. If I read this before I came back in, I would've dropped and then upped the pressure or visa versa. Just put em on n came in to refill n relax. Now you have me thinking instead of shuffling vehicles around to get out of the garage I could maybe go back out and adjuat the pressures. I did forget to drain the tank come to think of it.... but my laziness is kicking in here now. Here a couple screenshots from a before pic (from awhile ago) to now and a couple measurement pics just for rederence to anyone that might care one day. Keep in mind the BFG's are half worn 10 ply'soff my previous Dmax, might as well wear em out right(?)...

Oddly enough here is the measurement from the bottom of the fender to the top of the tire before and after...(keep in mind all measurements were made from 'roughly' center judging by eye, but pretty close I wasn't half shot... yet ?)

Just an fyi update. They reset this morn within 1km after leaving my place. All is good and working as normal. Now to hope these half worn stiff Ol' 10ply tires still do well for me this winter.

@The Yeti what a transformation! It's amazing what wheels and tires can do to upgrade a Jeep. Thank you for sharing. Many forum members should find the information helpful when deciding what size tires to purchase. :like:

100%. Night and day. I think it looks about right width wise. Next set of tires will probably be a 35x11.5 or 295 75 17 we will see. I'll be going with a 6 or at most 8 ply if I have to though. I wasn't sure if I should've went with the 0 offset like I did instead of the -6 and -15 I was also considering. These stick out about right for that agressive look and Im finding I should be able to fit a bigger tire than I have (up to the limit I would want anyway) later on. Only reason I kept posting was for someone else to reference later. That's why I search on a forum to look for real world info to make my own decision. So hopefully it helps someone.
