Just curious, does anyone run a track bar relocation bracket with their lift? Years ago I helped a friend install a kit, and it came with a bracket to lower the upper track bar mounting point to make it horizontal again.
My mopar kit didn’t have this, and I’ve seen posts about adjustable track bars, but that doesn’t seem like it would restore the geometry. The axle will still pivot off of vertical because of the increased angle out of horizontal, so now on compression the axles move slightly to the passenger side instead of up/down vertical. Does it matter?
Thanks!

Generally, when you do a track bar relocation, you also do a drag link flip. There are drag link/frame clearance issues with a drag link flip and less than 4' of lift (and appropriate bump stop extensions), so it's not as common on the JT/JL platform.

There is some logic that you mentioned that justifies relocations brackets.

For me, I like simple, so, I like 8 adjustable control arms and 2 adjustable track bars with the lift where you can set everything "back to stock" at ride height. With that capability, I do not believe relocation brackets are worth while. My gladiator rides so well with this setup now, I do not see how relocation brackets would make that much of a difference for the added complexity.

My only concern is with the compression being off vertical. Maybe I’m being overly picky, or it’s the steering box issue I’m getting fixed next week, but after install I noticed a slight “dive” to the passenger side if you hit a big dip on the hwy above about 50mph. Other than that, it’s great. A little bit of wiggle on small bumps just because of the heavier wheels/tires, and bucks a little on older freeway joints, but otherwise more than acceptable. Just that one little annoying thing. ?

With the exception that the track bars are still pivoting below horizontal vs riding at horizontal and pivoting above/below as designed (maybe a slightly wider radius by 1/2 inch or so, but still kicking to the passenger side over bumps). Sorry, my OCD engineer brain just KNOWS it's still there, even if it's just my imagination saying "you feel that?".
