So, I tried a little experiment. I do have a Taser Lite so this also stays in the last position used.

I turned off the electronic traction control, as I had done in my Explorer Sport before, and noticed throttle response is more crisp. Don't know why it works but it does. I had asked a Ford mechanic about it on the Explorer and he said yes it would improve it. He said somewhere in the electronic jungle the two are connected and traction control does affect the throttle.

Just thought I'd toss it out there for others to experiment. YMMV

I installed an iDrive unit on mine, and it helped tremendously with throttle response. Worth the $200 IMO. Especially since you can adjust it with a bunch of different settings. I run mine on U-7 mode. It works great with the Tazer JL Mini. I recommend both upgrades.
