My wife almost tells me daily I should have gotten a Jeep. The lease on her ‘22 Forester is getting bought out next month and we have a ‘25 Forester coming to replace it. Then we can address the RL.
My wife and I have owned many brands and types of vehicles over the years. We've owned 5 MDXes as that's her favorite vehicle on the planet. Of all the brands, I've never had the attention and engagement from other people as I've experienced with my Jeeps. Not even close.

It’s funny, my last car was pretty rare, they only made 1,900 over 3 years (304 for my year). Yet I hardly ever had anyone notice it. With the Ridgeline I have received more compliments than any other vehicle I’ve owned combined.

You would think I would love it.

Which is much too short a run for indecisive people like myself. It takes me a while to warm up to some of the bolder colors, and by the time I do they're gone. I wish Jeep would offer more of them for longer, or even yearly custom orders. Offer a frickin' rainbow of options every year and I bet they'd get more sales.
Porsche will paint any car any color in their Paint To Sample program. The costs (plural) are staggering. No one in the Jeep world is going to be willing to add that on to a Jeep. And Jeep can’t realistically do it without similar charges since it requires a serious interruption of their production.

yeah...thats another thing. My kids seemed to really like the jeep. I hated letting it go for that reason. They appear to like the car as well. But im sure they would be thrilled if I got a jeep again. lol
My son has had a rather ridiculous amount of nice cars to ride in and he has disliked all of them. However he loves the Jeep. I think he’d disown me if I sold / traded it unless I replaced it with an original Humvee.

Wonder what it is that appeals to them. Are yours younger? Mine are all elementary/almost middle school age.

I understand.

When the Nacho came out in early '21 I was preoccupied with some stuff I needed to deal with. By the time I was ready there were few left and they had been pimped out to inflate prices. I gave up.

The Nacho bug bit me again in 2023. I found a clean low-mileage Rubicon on the Internet, probably coming off a lease, in Pennsylvania and had it shipped to me in East Texas.

The premium for a Rubicon almost stopped me, but you only go around once and I'm near the end of that ride.

In other words, if you have a burning desire for one specific model, settle for a used one if you have to and get the one you want.

I really liked the car for the month I had it. Made me feel younger again. Handled awesome and was fairly quick. But being back in another newer gladiator in the color I always wanted, I feel over the moon. Only thing that sucks is I should have kept my 37s and wheels off my last one and the winch and bed cover. Sigh.

So a month ago i traded in my modded 2020 Sport S Max Tow Gobi on a 2025 Toyota GR Corolla hatchback. Ive always had sports cars while younger.
The car bug bit again and I let my Gobi go. Now after 1300 miles i am still missing my gladiator at times and toying the idea of just going back. Especially now. Mojito is out and right now is a "employee pricing" for all til the end of the month. Unfortunately i will have more debt again, and most of my parts are now gone. I like the car, but its super small and im missing the jeep truck.
Thoughts?

I was still going to get a truck along with the car but it was just gonna be an old one with crew cab just for truck duty and the bed. Nothing special or even recent.
Should have Kept the sports car , Put a lift on it and hit the trails 😉 😂😜

I spent my afternoon coming back to this side.
LOVE IT. You won't regret it.

I have 15yo and a 9yo boys. We also have an Acura SUV and a M-Benz coupe. They always want me to take the Jeep. Kids from the high school and elementary school constantly say "nice Jeep!" and the boys soak it up. Ha.

After I traded in my 2020 JT there was about a 18 month gap until my 2024 JT. During this gap, this lady in my neighborhood was walking her dog immediately stopped me and asked where my Jeep was. I told her I traded it in. She teared up and said every day she sees me take my kids to school in my Jeep and it just makes her day. She said she misses it greatly. I'm like, lady you're killing me! :CWL::CWL::CWL:

Yeah. I was missing mine fairly bad. Even from the beginning, but i really liked the car. Then I kept joking with my wife that I was gonna snatch up a mojito jeep instead. Well , i did. The kids seem ok with the decision as well. Makes it even easier.

The only one I see is driven by a Toyota brand ambassador who happens to live in the neighborhood. He raced in the GR cup this weekend.
