Traded in 2020 Sport S Gobi max tow...got sport car...now thinking gladiator

So a month ago i traded in my modded 2020 Sport S Max Tow Gobi on a 2025 Toyota GR Corolla hatchback. Ive always had sports cars while younger.
The car bug bit again and I let my Gobi go. Now after 1300 miles i am still missing my gladiator at times and toying the idea of just going back. Especially now. Mojito is out and right now is a "employee pricing" for all til the end of the month. Unfortunately i will have more debt again, and most of my parts are now gone. I like the car, but its super small and im missing the jeep truck.
Thoughts?

I was still going to get a truck along with the car but it was just gonna be an old one with crew cab just for truck duty and the bed. Nothing special or even recent.

I'd get a bunch of quotes from different car buying companies (Carmax, KBB, etc). Use those prices as a starting point for negotiations with different dealerships. Don't mention the trade until you have finalized a price. Attack purchase price, trade in, and financing separately. I think you will probably get smacked with the trade in values but you truly wont know until you try. I'd have a hard line in the sand (Ex. 5K loss at maximum) and don't deviate from it.

I went from a 2021 Rubicon to a 2025 Rubicon X(same color even) and made a lengthy post if you are interested in some impressions on the upgrade. Good luck!

At least you bought something that’s limited production and desirable so probably good resale value.

There are good deals on new ones, but when you get one, get a manufacturer’s (not aftermarket or dealership) extended powertrain warranty. The new 3.6ls don’t hold up like our 2020s. You can use it as a negotiating point.

It’s the same engine, but I’m seeing lots of top end engine issues on here. I’m not sure if it’s post covid parts supplier issues or Stellantis quality control or both. I’m just glad that I have a 11/2019 FCA built Jeep.

yeah in all honestly i prob should have kept the gladiator and just paid it off. I was ahead pretty good on it.
I like the car, its just small, and im starting to see what a pain it is in school pick up and drop off lines. If i could have both I would, but thats not feasible.

11/2019 builds aren't any better, mine (also a an 11/2019 build) had the passenger intake cam replaced due to a misc misfire and the related TSB with less than 10k miles.

Well, let me put it this way. The number of internal engine issues on 2020s is significantly less than on later years. There are many thousands of older second gen 3.6ls with 200k+ miles on them and still going strong. Mine was 10 or 11. I can’t remember, but I don’t think it matters

i believe mine was built in 20 if i remember right, but i had no issues out of mine other than a weird battery issue and the start stop quit working but didnt throw any code and i hated it so I didnt care. haha.

Yes they were all manual, but this year for 2025 they released an 8spd auto as well. Mine is 6spd manual. Ive had numerous manuals. This one is just weird and has things that bug me. I also was stupid thinking it would be fun in school drop off and pick up with stop and go every 3 ft and 20 seconds.

also...yeah its not super fast. Ive had fast fast.. This is one is ok...its 300hp awd turbo 1.6 3cyl. Handles great though. Its fun....just at 41 with 3 kids, im starting to think my wife was right.

It's the same 3.6 engine on all Gladiators. No difference.

Are you open to getting a '24 or something? You could score a great deal with older models and then just do a wrap for the color.
