In the end its your decision sounds like a good deal.
Bought my 2020 rubi in 2019 for around $48g Haven't looked back ,love the truck with the factory issues it has had. They have replaced all brakes and rotors ,entertainment center, steering box all under warranty .It is now at 31,000 miles hopefully does not have to go back to dealer ever again.

Solid pt re the depreciation year. One of the main questions I’m answering is: “Are you committed to keeping the Gladiator for at least three years?” If not, I think the pendulum swings back to keeping the 2022 GMC.
This quote stood out to me. @willgabriel, you seem to go through vehicles a lot. I know state and local laws vary, but here in CA, when you buy a vehicle and pay tax, you don't recoup any of that tax money on your next purchase. For example, if you buy the 2021 JT at $60K with roughly $6K in taxes, you don't get any of that money back in 3 years when you buy your next vehicle.

If you drive under 15K miles a year and like to swap out new cars every 3 years or so, leasing may be for you. With leasing, you only pay tax on the monthly payment, not on the aggregate price of the vehicle. I don't want to turn this into a lease versus buy discussion, but just responding based on the OP's comment.

Edit: one caveat to this is that leasing right now may be artificially inflated because the 3-year residual value is more than likely based on a normal trade-in value of a 3-year old vehicle and not factoring in the artificial chip/pandemic transaction prices.

Definitely appreciate your points re leasing. Only during this Covid phenomenon would I trade like this, because I’m making money (in KY and IL, we do get full tax credit when trading at the dealership). Otherwise, and overall, I’m in the buy camp over leasing unless the payment can be written off per business use.

Greetings Everyone:

I’m looking for some thoughtful impressions per an offer on the table I have from an area Jeep dealer.

They have a 2021 Gladiator Rubicon in stingray with the tan interior, cold weather package, safety package, front camera, body colored hard top and fenders on their lot they are willing to sell me for $60,600 ($3,000 off MSRP).

In addition, they are willing (and all of this is in a signed buyers order) to give me $71000 for my 2022 GMC Sierra HD AT4 with only 1,800 miles on it. That’s over $3,000 more than I paid for it late in 2021 (after fees and taxes). The few other used trucks like mine (2022 HD AT4, gas) I see for sale in a 300 mile radius of me are on dealer lots for $75-$76k, so I know they’ll make money.

I don’t need the 2500 AT4, but I like it for the extra cabin room and bed space. I’ve owned a Gladiator Rubicon two years ago and liked it. I didn’t keep it as I was offered a great deal on it for a Mazda CX-9 of all things (at the time I was doing 1000 miles of highway driving each month on top of in town driving; I’m now doing 95% in town driving with a 2 mile commute to work) which eventually led me to the aforementioned and current daily driver: the 2022 GMC HD AT4.

Anybody have impressions they’d be willing to offer on this deal? As GMC will be upgrading the HD’s to the new 1500 cabin for 2023, this deal for my AT4 seems like about the best I can expect this year especially when I’m getting a decent deal on the new Gladiator in return. Thanks in advance for your input!

As of Jan.1 the dealer probably owns the Rubicon(no floor plan). Tell the dealer you'll take his financing irrregardless of his interest rate. Ask for a little more help on the price. Check to see if your state has any pre-payment penalties. Re-fi at a more comfortable rate and drive the JT.
Remember Jeep retains a lot of their resale value.

After more negotiations, I ended up getting $6k more than I paid (to include the fees, taxes, title) for my GMC and the Jeep Rubicon for $3k under the actual MSRP (not the “market price,” etc) with free delivery to my house on Saturday. It would have been a 3.5 hr drive each way plus time at the dealer. That saved $400 for the delivery and the dealer rep unloaded my Jeep, loaded the GMC, and I signed all paperwork (I went through my own bank) in 30 minutes. I paid no taxes per my GMC being worth more and the trade-in tax credit. I should actually get money back. Very pleased.
