It looks like the 12v cable is not used so it should be possible to relocate it right? I’m thinking to move it to the tray on the dash to provide an easy charging spot for devices.

I tucked mine behind the wall, plugged in a USB port and ran a MagSafe charging pad connected to a RAM mount so that I can charge my phone. Clean install and works great.

Oh, that's smart. That makes me think that I could move it up to the dash tray, too, as that's where my phones mount. Excellent!
