I have a 3.6 auto. I feel my trans temps are low and take a while to rise I usually don’t see it pass 120 is this typical? Regular street and highway driving

That would be low if it stayed there. Nothing wrong with a cooler operating transmission if heat is the killer of them.

My trans temp is normally 10c below the coolant/oil temp

What would be the issue if the temp was lower than typical operating temp. I have the tow package no sure if that keeps the temp down as well

My inexperience to the engineering of this transmission would say there is nothing wrong with it running cooler like you’re saying. There is a heater unit (there is on my 2021 JTR) that heats up the transmission to operating temps faster but then helps keep it cool, or closer to coolant temps if the transmission is working harder than normal (like towing).

Temp is good at 120s, get it above 250 area and your fluid is going to begin to oxidize and seals are going to begin to harden or "cook". At <120 the trans should last many years on that fluid. High temps rapidly take life off the internal parts and the fluid. High enough and just a fluid change wont do much as the transmission itself has already been impaired.

I can't hardly believe your running 120...even on the highway ? Where do you live Alaska ??
If my coolant is 185 on a cold day like today then the transmission will run 179-177 on a hot day ...in the 90's when coolant is 200 and up the trans will get all the way up to 199 but has never went above that. Mine has 111600 miles on it .
As I understand it some model vehicles come with a valve that will not actuate open until the transmission reaches 160 ..
As I understand it the Gladiator does not have such a valve . On a very cold morning it will take 15-20 miles before the transmission will get up to 175-177 that is from a start temp of 85 outside temps at 22 -25 .
How fast and how far have you driven that beast ? Is you fan stuck on ?
