This isn’t a bash thread, I just want to help other members. 26k miles on the clock and my transmission started slipping, really bad. Long story short, after a month of my truck being in the shop they finally found where a wire rubbed though above the DPF(after removing it) and we’re able to quickly resolve the issue.

Due to this and another issue where a wire rubbed through, myJeep has been in the shop for more than 2 month accumulative and I hope this helps someone speed up the downtime from their Jeep.

There is no other truck that I’d be willing to replace mine with, lord knows I’ve looked…

Yes, it has been discussed. If you search "EGR gasket" this thread comes up with photos to show the issue.

I also believe a TSB has been issued about it.

Lord knows I didn’t search EGR gasket when it was an apparent transmission issue, which is why I posted. However the link you provided could very well be the same thing. I’d think a TSB being issued would call out a transmission issue vs EGR gasket, neither of which I’ve heard about. But thanks for the link, from the next guy
