Transmission service anyone?

I have little to no luck with it. I typed in transmission service and besides this thread I got this:

I'm getting ready to change mine and im only coming up on 25K. I ordered what I thought was a pan and filter (that's what it's labeled) but only received a filter. I was a little confused because everything I have read indicated that it was one piece. After putting in my VIN just to make sure I do in fact have the right part. Cost me around $130 I think.

As for the actual service interval Mopar is full of it. ZF says to change it every 60K miles. I basically cut everything in half so I'm changing it early then at 60K as well. From there I will do every 60K. I stopped following Mopar's service intervals when I changed my spark plugs in my JK at 62K and they were cooked - the book said they were good for 100K. Mopar does not have your best interest in mind and they only care about getting the vehicle out of warranty. Them telling you not to change the transmission fluid only reenforces this point.

The Jeep Gladiator and Wrangler ZF 8 speed do not use the one piece pan (which is plastic). They use a steel pan with a separate removable filter.

Check out the aftermarket trans pan by
PPE, has a drain plug, any larger fluid capacity. There is an install video on youtube ?

it might change over time. Call my local dealership and have each of this bad boys at $35.45, the filter at $64 and the gasket at $67
