Transmission troubles…

My new to me 2022 Gladiator Sport S auto transmission was driving normally until I came to a stop. Accelerating after the stop, the “Service Transmission” light came on and the transmission refuses to up shift from 1st gear. I had it towed to my local dealer where it took 9 days to diagnose the transmission as requiring replacement. Has anyone else had a similar experience and if so, how long did the transmission replacement take? My Gladiator only has 23k miles.

Yes, mine was replaced at 22k miles.

Took 19 days from drop off to finish. Transmission was backordered at the time. This was back in June 2022.

My local dealer has had my Gladiator over 9 days to diagnose and they estimate another 2 business days to receive “approval” to replace the transmission, another 7 days to receive the transmission and “about” 2 days for repair…

That is roughly 20 days. About inline with @Wheelin98TJ . Basically going to take however long it takes as it works through the process. Also, you may get a reman unit but some have been lucky to get a new build replacement but you cannot force them to give you the latter. It is their discretion what they use.

I got a new one in my case.

I can't remember who it was on here had one repaired/rebuilt at the dealer . Said it runs great. [

Yes, my transmission was replaced at 16,000 miles. It is a problem. I traded mine right after the replacement. The Stellantis CEO that was just fired destroyed Chrysler/Jeep. I don’t know if they will be able to recover.

Well, seeing how I am so far out of warranty that they forgot about me years ago. I have located me a replacement Transmission and will be purchasing and will be installing it when the time comes. Probably be me and my uncle or my brother . Thing only weighs 216 pounds. Aside from the transfer case how hard can it really be ( huge sarcasm)

Did you get the check engine light to come on? If so what was the code #?

I can't remember who it was on here had one repaired/rebuilt at the dealer . Said it runs great. [

That would be me. Mine was the 2nd one in the US to be rebuilt. This is the TSB that came out late last year. Took about 6 week total. Have about 5500 miles on the rebuild, so far its better then new. Mine went out at 45,000 miles. Service at the dealer was great.

Actually looks pretty straight forward the one I located is out of another Gladiator so it shouldn't have to even have to have the TCM programmed . It literally looks like take out and put in . Yeah it will take me days but it's worth it.

I got a new one in my case.

Not a surprise being your location. Easier to pull from the plant and ship than rebuild and ship.
