Went on the lake this weekend, backed the trailer in, loaded the boat, and when I got back in the truck the engine was off with the auto start/stop disabled. The dash was lit up like a Christmas tree. Service engine, service traction control, service air bag, service 4wd, sway bar disconnect, auto start stop unavailable....weird right? It gets better. I finally got the truck to start back up. I figured I could make it home as I was 10 miles from the house. While driving back at 35mph the truck shut off and I was able to get across the bridge to the side of the road. I couldn't shut the ignition off and all the lights I listed before were back on again. The lights were all off and back to normal by the time I made it back to the house. The next day it happened again but this time on the interstate at 70mph. Like before everything was back to normal by the time I returned home. The dealer checked the codes and there were two pages worth. They called me today with no solution after havnig the truck for a few days. Has this happened to anyone else? I have heard of stop start issues but nothing like this. Very dangerous for a vehicle to shut off while pulling on the interstate. 2020 Rubicon with 4k miles.

Do you have a trailer brake controller installed? If so, did you use the Gladiator specific harness with a diode to connect the controller to the factory plug under the dash?

Did you disconnect the trailer lights before putting the trailer in the water? I used to deliver 11 meter RHIBS for the navy and had problems in the Semi if I did not disconnect the trailer lights before putting it in the water.

I did not, however it shut off on me again the next day while I was driving @ 70mph on the interstate. I have been trailering this boat all over for the last month and a half with no issues. I tournament fish so I tow very often.

This just happened to me. Same exact thing. I'm stuck on the highway as I write this.

Whatever happened with your truck? This has just happened to me today twice. I’m taking it to the dealer on Monday. They couldn’t take it in today and they didn’t have any loaners. The guy in service put the code reader on mine and there were codes galore. Mine is a 2021 with 3500miles on it.

The dealer supposedly never found an issue. They reset everything and it hasn't done it since. I think they did something to correct an electronic issue they don't want us to know about. I have put 40k on it since this post. Good luck with this I hope they get it resolved quickly.

I’m glad it’s been good. My dealer states I need a new pcm module and it’s about 2 weeks out.

I wonder if they tried a PCM reflash to see if it will hold the good code until the new PCM comes in.

I just had the exact same problem with my new 2022 Mojave with 1500 miles. Cut out on the highway, dash lit up like a christmas tree. I was on my way to drop it off to get paint protection film and ceramic coating. Won't have it back for a couple of days but seems like I need to get it into the dealer ASAP.

My 2021 Gladiator Rubicon with 4k miles is stuck on my driveway- It will jump start, but then shut off again within seconds. This vehicle has been babied since day 1, has never been off-road. There appears to be water coming from the alternator.... no clue what's going on, but this is really concerning. I mean, it has been drizzle/rained on, but it's a freaking Jeep!
