Most newer vehicles, including the Gladiator, have a “three blink” feature where your turn signals blink for a lane change when you move the indicator stalk in the desired direction. If you go past the detent, then they are on until you turn them off. While this may be some sort of weird user error, I‘m thinking it might be a real issue with the turn indicator stalks. Is anyone else having trouble getting the auto blinking feature working? I get one blink and then it is done.

Works fine in the comfort of my garage while parked and it works sometimes while driving and sometimes not. Not sure if it’s the angle of the steering wheel, the vehicle speed, or something else that is causing this intermittent problem. I may get the dealer to check it out next time I get the Gladiator serviced, but if anyone else has experienced this, let me know the symptoms and possible fix. Thanks.

No. I haven’t experience this. Iirc, there is a setting to turn the feature on and off, but that doesn’t sound like your issue.

Thanks. Yes, the feature is active, it’s just temperamental. If I can find at least one other member with this issue, we can start a support group!

I may have what you're talking about, and my "cure".

I have found if I don't take it to the indent, it will flash only as long as I hold it.

But if I take it to the indent and not past, I get 3 flashes.

I use that frequently. Just a quick tap and release is all it takes. It gives three blinks, which is usually enough for a lane change in light traffic.

If you hold it for more than a second (it seems) it will not give you the blinks. Just a quick flick <1 sec always works.

Thanks. I’ll keep perfecting my technique. The fact that it works some of the time probably indicates that there is something I’m doing (or not doing).
