Folks, How do you setup the dash to show the GEAR that the auto-trans is in? I've read that people have that, but haven't seen how to get that setup on the dash.

Also, I don't seem to be able to program the convenience group buttons for my garage door opener. SHOULD be just the single frequency -- worked on my Chevy Traverse easy enough....

I didnt have the gear for about two weeks and then I got it. No idea how. I must've done something.now it shows which gear I'm in. Weird.

Garage door. Take your remote and sit in the vehicle. Start it. Then hold the two outer buttons on the visor until you get a blinking light. Let go. Then press one of the three buttons you want to program at the same time hitting your remote. Hold both. Light blinks again. Done.

I believe in the owners manual you should have not started but in the run mode, so no foot on brake touch start stop button, the next step should only be done once, press and hold the first button with one dot and the third button with three dots at the same time for 15 up to 20 seconds this clears any setting from the factory, and then the light flashes rapidly, then hold the remote door opener button within four centimeters and hold it for 15 up to 20 seconds, while outside the garage, when you see a faster rapid flashing light. it should be set. you might need to repeat the programming if it does not work the first time after trying after a few seconds. batteries in remote should be newer or strong. this is called the homelink system. A few garage door openers may require someone to push a button found on the box that retracts the chain or belt then pressing one of the buttons for 15 up to 20 seconds. There is a number to call homelink 1-800-355-3515 if this won't work. last note, key must be in vehicle as a security measure to operate the door opener, older models may not have hade that feature. see instructions on page 128 in the full size owners manual which is one you can order from Chrysler.

Thanks, I will try this tomorrow. I DID the basic setup, but didn't realize that the truck should not ACTUALLY be running. I held the remote button pressed until I did see the quick flash on the Truck, but it still didn't work. I will try again, and if not, I will call the number you gave me -- Thanks for this.

Yeah, I tried this like 3-4 times, but the button in the truck will still not work the garage door. Ugh. I will keep trying, and seeing the note below, maybe the truck should NOT be turned on. Will work on this tomorrow.

Regarding the Homelink set up. If you are still having problems with the setup after following all the tips above, you might want to try a fresh battery in your garage door remote. I know mine had been sitting around unused for a long while and I couldn’t get the Homelink to sync up. Replaced the battery in the remote and setup on first try.

You can try holding the two buttons until you get the blink, then hitting the program button on the garage opener itself. The big unit that actually opens it up. It all depends on your type of opene . My wife's Car had to be done this way. Depends on car and type of opener.

On my display, the current gear is at the bottom, in very tiny text, when the trans is in Drive. When I move the shifter to Manual mode, the current gear numbers are in the same place, but become much larger.

For the gear display, it's called "Current Gear" and it's an option under "Screen Setup" on the display between the gauges.
TY for this -- this is exactly what I needed.

I did this with my JT but every time I start the truck I have to redo this. Is there a way to save this setting? The truck says "setting saved" but it doesn't.

The Jeep has to be running or the starter button has to be in the "run" position for the Homelink buttons to work (it's a secure system meaning that if the Gladiator is parked outside overnight, nefarious characters can't break into it and open your garage door unless they have a key to your rig). If your Homelink buttons are receiving power, a light will flash on which ever one you push. If they're still not working, start all over and follow the directions exactly. You may have to use the "learn" button on your door opener motor. There's also videos on YouTube that may help.
