So my wife recently had an issue in her Grand Cherokee with Uconnect 7” head unit where it was having “ghost taps” that kept turning the heated seats on and off, changing radio stations and inputs, adjusted climate and pretty much anything else onscreen and made the unit completely unusable. Resets didn’t resolve the issue nor shutting off the car.

After pressing down on all of the fuses in the fuse box, many seemed to be quite loose. No more ghost taps. I’ll be checking my truck in the morning for loose fuses. Seeing as the JT uses the same system, I figured it’s a possibility to be an issue on the truck as well.

Mine does this constantly and it drives me nuts. I've taken it to the local dealer and they are so lazy that they just tell me they can't replicate it, so they do nothing. I took some videos from my phone the last few times and they still wouldn't do anything.

I'll be checking my fuses tomorrow now that I read this.

Hopefully it’s nice and simple as this was. Not sure how yours is, but her radio was “tapping” about 1-2 times a second and didn’t let up even after about 15 minutes running.

Well, it didn't resolve my issue. I did find several that felt loose though. Mine has done it twice this week.

@JeepCares I have asked the dealership to look at it every time I brought it in to them. Of the 5 or 6 times they have had the Jeep they only even acknowledged my request once and that time they said they couldn't replicate the issue. I have it on video happening and it seems to be getting worse. What are my options to actually get it resolved?

Hi Coachcal,
Sorry to hear you're dealing with this! When was the date of your last dealer appointment? Feel free to send us a PM to discuss further.
