Guys,
I’m interested in upgrading to the 8.4. I have the 7 now. I know I can order from Infotainment and also an eBay seller for around $1600. I did find what I believe is the 8.4 on Bam Wholesale, but there are multiple part numbers ranging in price from $1060ish to $1350ish. Wondering what the different part numbers are. One of them is 68417863. I believe the differences is in the past 2 digits. Please help me. Thanks!!

I don’t know about the part numbers but I can vouch for BAM, I’ve made several orders from them and have yet to be disappointed. Just be cautious that if the dealer is back ordered on an item. Bam may not indicate on their site and it could take longer to get.

Thanks, I am just wondering why a difference of almost $300 between the different part numbers if it’s the same unit? I figured the different part numbers just meant newer versions, but why a price difference. You’re talking a difference of almost $500/600 from the cheapest number on Bam vs. Infotainment.

The part numbers vary by the trim which the head unit was originally equipped and by the version of software running in the head unit. Any part number which cross references to a 2020 Gladiator should work, but make sure you avoid the radios pre-2020 or originally equipped in a JL/JLU.

Honestly, do yourself a favor and check out the Insane Audio head unit before upgrading to the 8.4. It's got a bigger screen and alot more features.

My concern with the insane one is the loss of integrated satellite and steering wheel control functions. For example, on the uconnect, satellite shows up as a band type, my understanding is on insane, it's a separate app. What other features make it worth it?
