There's a video over at TFL with one that has a Hell Cat engine in it. There are 6x6 Wranglers too. Also, if'n you search YouTube there is a exotic car rental joint in Vegas that does a review of this type of 6x6. Should of just filmed it at the gas station. After cruising the strip, I do believe the renter dude was getting 7mpg.

The ad made it sound like all stock, nothing different from a base model really. If there is 100k in extras, it would help to have explained any of them.
The one I looked at was a Sport.

Just leave this here? I drove down to Huntington Beach and looked at one... I just left it at the dealer. Not impressed whatsoever.
So since you have come the closest to riding the glass dragon, is the tandem axle driven or just a tag axle? Having poured over how Chrysler did it on the TREX (the first one) and how subsequent "tributes" have also done it, it takes a bit of investment in bits and bobs to pull off true 6x6 operation and not just a load carrying 6x4 application.

Which is funny since you can't realistically get the GVW modified here in the US so claiming it can do all this towing and hauling is still a frightening joke. I'd love to see one of these monstrosities with a 5th wheel or goose neck and the V6.

Ultimately what I guess I'm trying to say is they put all this work into making it able to, in theory, on paper, going by the numbers, refer to door tags, your mileage may vary, what ever you do don't mention my name, tow and haul considerably more yet it's soooooooooo long and lifted in a silly way so as to make it useless both on and off road. But 'brah... it'll be totally bitchin'!

The hilarious thing about this is, somebody here would pay $169,000 for the Gladiator, then still want to do about $50,000 worth of 'upgrades' to it.

If all 6 aren't driven then it should be labeled as 4x6... 6x4? I think the latter lol. 6x6 would be false advertising.

Well... the correct nomenclature would be 4x2 is 4 wheels, 2 driven, 4x4 is 4 wheels, 4 driven, 6x4 is 6 wheels, 4 driven and 6x6 would indicate 6 wheels, 6 driven.

So, depending on if the rear axle is driven, it's either a 6x4 or 6x6. Would it make a difference on this pig? Probably not.

Hard saying not knowing... it ain't my thing any way. I always am impressed with a lot of the mods we see. But I like working or useful mods. Cosmetics? Not overlay impressed. Say I get a big lift and 37" tires and keep 3.73 gears.? That's all cosmetic, nothing usefully. Not for me. A dead axle? Not for me, only cosmetic.

The salesman referred to the tandem rear axles as a "tunnel configuration" wherein the front axel provides 4X4 with the leading rear axle as is normally found in a Gladiator, and when summoned, the trailing rear tandem axel can be engaged to make the vehicle 6X6. I did see a drive shaft between the two [rear] tandem axels.I have one photo that shows the driveshaft between the two rear axles and if you want to see it, let me know.

It appeared to me it was as a driveshaft between the rear tandems was apparent
