I haven't seen that but it seems like a bad idea since it bolts to the floor.
I thought the same thing. But she says someone mentioned it as a totally viable option in one of the videos. I'll keep looking...

That’s why it comes with a 115V outlet in back for your marguerita machine!

All models get the standard bin or the optional locking storage bin with 2 separate compartments. Every seat back is lockable, both sides. Some behind the seat storage without the speaker is a bin just like the speaker would rest in or a mesh webbing like on the left side.

After looking at the video reviews, I’m thinking the same. No cargo management system. I don’t need the 110 outlet, can buy fender rails aftermarket and the storage space is more open without the removable box. For those thinking of removing the perimeter piece... it think it supports the front edge of the seat bottom. I may be wrong though. Personally I’m thinking I could add a fence gate style latch to the bottom edge of the seat and that plastic wall to make it lockable and keep all my ratchet straps, draw bar and recovery gear under there 24/7.
I've sat in the JT and the box does not support the bottom edge of the seat.

we figured out in another thread that it doesn't need that to support the seat.

Cool!! Then I wonder if my idea of a locking latch would work if it doesn’t sit on the front wall of the storage are.

I remember seeing this in a youtube vid. But they were talking about the DECK drawer system, not the underseat storage.

I wonder if anyone is going to come up with a simple mechanism to lock the rear seats in the down position. I don't have the locking box but if the seats could lock down somehow that would be nice added security for the under seat area.
