I have both. Love both. have so far not snapped loose while wheeling either and easy to take out if you need the full space. only negative is you have to drill holes into not only your liner but metal

I have one, its a handy spot to store my hitch and tie down straps. My only complaints are that it obstructs the corner tie down and light and I have to roll up my bedcover a bit and swing it out to get into it.

Had one of these few years back on a Silverado, and I second shrinkhead with drilling into the bed as well box blocking the strap anchor point kinda sucks… On the up side you can easily remove the case if needed, it is quite spacious inside. Used it for two years with no issues whatsoever, probably will get one for the Jeep

For the JT, it works but has a terrible fitment and doesn't even come close for the JT. Called them and they said its a one size fits all.

That stinks! Still useful, but man it could be a lot bigger. I'm trying to think of what could attach to the box and fill that space. Maybe a mini cargo net to hold straps, or a small plastic box of some sort that is bolted to it and can open? I can't really think of anything.

Maybe a way to hold my hitch? (again, I am brain storming and can't really come up with something useful).

HELP! NEED IDEAS!

I’d never paid attention to this figment before. They’d probably double their sales if they were molded to fit the JT…this is a pretty massive miss for these guys.

Ok, what about something like this made to bolt in that area to at least store our hitches?

I am thinking at a 45 degree angle to follow the lines of the box.

Thoughts?

They did mention on the call that bolting something to it depending on the weight could weaken it and potentially snap. Another reason/excuse on why they did not extend it any further.

In the main larger portion, I do store my Smitty 2781 which is pretty weighty and having no issues.

That makes sense, I did not think of that.

I have one and love it. It eats up a bit of room on the driver rear side but with the limited underseat storage this comes in very handy. I have my jumper cables, hitch pin and ball, Numerous Cam straps, Locking pin for my hitch. Safety flat for my kayaks, tool pouch and some other items.

Bought it off another local gladiator owner for half the cost.

Mine is on the passenger side. Does block a light, but the other is bright enough to me. Would not run two. Does make the tie down harder to get to, but I have found it still usable - swing it out of the way to attach ratchet/rope and swing back. Not a huge deal to me. Also yes, drill holes but to me it's the bed so ?‍♂.

Decent storage space. I keep some ratchets/rope/other quick access things for whatever adventure I am going to.

Have to remember to twist the lid lock closed otherwise it opens in the highway wind, or bouncing off-road. The box itself is plenty stable though.

The biggest negative to me is that to lock it so someone can't pull it out, you block the swing out ability. :headbang: So if I need to swing it out, I have to take my lock off first. 99.99% of the time I just reach over the bed to get to it because of this.

Planning a tonneau cover soon. Once that is on I will pull the lock off to get the "swing" back.

Overall, good. Don't think it's worth the full cost though.

It's a shame they decided to do a one-size-fits-all for these. I like the idea but it's such a waste of space and the aesthetics are absolutely garbage because of it. And yes, we DO care about aesthetics, even my rotopax are color-coordinated, LOL.

I was looking at getting one of these but was considering the Rugged Ridge product:

https://www.quadratec.com/p/rugged-ridge/armis-swing-case-2020-jeep-gladiator-jt

The fitment in the pictures looks a lot better than the Undercover product. Does anyone have experience with this one?
Personally I don't think there is much difference in the two. They both attach to the truck pretty much the same way, sit in the same location and function the same. There is not even that much difference in the build as its likely just a different name on the same produce. I'm not sure how the Rugged Ridge box would sit in any differently since they both attach the same way to the truck But if you get it take some photos after installation and post would be interesting to see if it actually does have a better fitment.
