So unfortunately a deer ran into the front side of my gladiator and I swirved and hit a pool. We are fine, but I can't believe the air bags didn't go off.
Frane is bent, front us pushed into the motor and some of the front parts on the motor broke off and the trans got messed up (I am assuming from loosing trans fluid).
Went a put a deposit on a Used Mojave yesterday, same color as this one.

Glad you are ok. I got broadsided in Jan. this year. My side air bags did not go off either. Front ones did but really needed the sides and got nothing.

I didn't know the side and front airbags go off differently. None of mine went off.
I just finished putting in the stereo system a couple months ago, took 2 days! Now I have to pull it back out...

I think they are all supposed to go off together. Don't forget to remove those sweet wheels from your glady before it gets towed off.

Yep, going to remove the Stereo and wheels!
Luckily I found a Mojave the same color for sale in my state. Only thing I don't like about the Mojave is the leather seats.

That sucks.

Did it lock up the seat belt adjusters? Weird the air bags did not deploy for that accident.

Must have been some Goldilocks' scenario then to not have tripped the air bags. The air bag, impact sensors and driver for the seat belt tensioner are all controlled by the occupant restraint controller module and that self checks on every vehicle start.

Airbags deploying are dependent on the sensors that are impacted. The seat bags will only deploy in a side impact situation. Glad your ok and it looks like you'll be getting an upgrade in the ordeal, thought not ideal.

Your hit was right in between both of the front bag sensors......YES a poor design. Might be a discussion you need to have with your insurance company.......I've seen settlement in the pasted for scenarios like this.

I am just happy we are both ok... Definitely will be loosing a lot of money, I had this Gladiator less than a year and I am sure the insurance company will be giving me 10k less than I paid a year ago for my 2020, but such is life.
On a good note, the Mojave already has a lot of the options I planned to retrifit to my Gladiator, so a lot less work in the future for me!

Glad you guys are ok. Looks like it hit between the 2 sensors in the front. Actually easy fix we built one like this this past summer. I used to own a bodyshop so a buddy bought one hit almost same place no air bags deployed we got it straightened and replaced a cross bar he then retrofitted a 6.4 out of a scat pack Charger pretty cool cool rig now a little loud for my taste but it hauls a$$ he doesn't off road just a street machine but cool lol

I would think that you either have a faulty airbag or you didn't have a high enough negative acceleration for the airbags to deploy. Since the front end of vehicles are designed to absorb (crumple) an impact, I'm betting you didn't hit the pole fast enough to trigger a deployment.
