So 3 days ago my U-Connect starts dialing my own phone EVERY time I start the truck. The phone doesn't even show an active call but the U-Connect screen sure does. And it has everything muted as normal when a call is in process. I hit the end call button on the steering wheel or screen and all goes back to normal. I've already unpaired and forgot all data between the phone and truck on both ends then reconnected everything and still the same thing. I'm certain it's not a phone issue since the phone doesn't even show a call in progress. Anyone else seen this?

This is a copy and paste I took off of another thread on this forum...

I would recommend trying a soft reset of you Uconnect system:

1) Put your vehicle into the accessories mode (ACC or RUN) For keyless start (push-button) vehicles: push the start button twice without having your foot on the gas or brake pedal

2) Hold down the Phone and voice recognition buttons (or tuner and volume knob), at the same time, for thirty seconds.

3) Let go of the buttons

4) Turn vehicle off

5) Open driver’s side door for thirty seconds (or until dash illumination goes black)

6) Close door

7) Restart vehicle

8) Let the media center load up and see if concern is still present

I'll give that a shot, thanks.

My dealer did a reset on my 2020 radio when I had funky phone/BT issues with it - and he did it from the passenger seat and radio screen. No door opening or closing. Run position, and radio is all he used. Fixed the problems.
I forget what he did or how, but it cleared the radio of my phone settings and I paired it again and life was good.
(one could pull the radio fuse, too, I suppose.)

Yeah, I did a soft reset along time ago for something else. Didn't remember the secret handshake so I don't know if this sequence is correct, I only did a copy and paste of another thread, hope it works for him.

The above 1st recommendation didn't work. The fuse is my next step. Beyond that will be a dreaded dealer visit so they can tell me my lift kit and 35's are causing the issue and therefore can not honor the warranty. Do you know the fuse number right off?

The soft reset part did work, however the auto calling myself is still happening. Maybe I should try to answer and have a conversation with me. Maybe Big Willy just wants to talk! Lol

Does it only do it with your phone? Can you try another phone?

Good thought. I will connect my old phone tomorrow and delete my current phone.

Could it be the "dial" button on your steering wheel is stuck?

Ya gotta tell it what to dial - and dialing his own phone number?
That's too weird.
If I hit the green button to start a call - what's it going to dial?

Yeah it's strange. It is definitely connected to the phone but not actually placing a call. The phone is not making a call but on the uconnect screen the green phone is on the screen and the timer is counting up as if there is a live call in progress. All the music is muted until I end the call that is not really in progress. It really is as simple as ending the phantom call but it's not supposed to do this. I wonder if my uconnect needs an update or something.

Gotcha, that stinks. When stuff like this happens, it bugs the hell out of me. I'm impressed with the acoustics of the U-connect sound with my phone. Hell, it sounds better than my phone! It does have the Alpine system though. I was talking to a buddy today and it was crystal clear, he even heard me mutter under my breath, or so I thought, as a car full of clowns cut in front of me while we were talking.

It sounds good unless it's raining or there's a lot of road noise then the other party questions what's going on.
These microphones are not noise cancelling.
