You can get the latest Uconnect software update by ordering a Map Update.
do not order a map update - not worth the money. - the version I got was a step back from the original version loaded from the factory. areas where the map would show the local speed limit defaults now to 55… not good when it is a 35 or less limit. you wouldn’t know it was an error in an unfamiliar area until you got pulled over.
also did not pick up the new exits in Massachusetts where they renumbered exits to match the Mile markers… this has been in effect for several years and is the reason I bought the upgrade.still shows the old numbering system.
any standalone gps has better maps than provided for the oem unit. And cheaper.
I complained to customer service and was able to get my money back but it was a PIA dealing with them And they could not reset to the original maps.

The Uconnect software and the Map Updates are two separate items. They have you provide the current revision number when you order the map update. I ordered the map update after I had the truck for two years. The maps were not the newest, but newer than what came with the truck. The Uconnect software was the latest version available at the time.

I have no qualms with the UConnect updates - just waste of money expecting real updates with the maps. Up to date should be just that- up to date- not up to date for changes 3 years ago.
by contrast, a free Garmin update provides real updates. Or for the price of the Uconnect map update you can buy a new garmin GPS.

What worked for my brother in-law's 2021 Wrangler was to put the Jeep in "Run", press and simultaneously hold down the Volume and Tuner knobs for at least 30 to 40 seconds. The screen should flash with your vehicles brand name and then go dark once. If this doesn't work, you can always try the battery disconnect method, sometimes that helps, sometimes not so much help. Hopefully you won't have to go to the "dreaded" dealership for a fix.

So not resolved yet but I'm now thinking it might be my phone. I completely unpaired and unmarried my phone and truck, connected my wife's identical phone as mine and not a single issue. The moment I paired my phone back up, BAM!!!, it started phantom calling as soon as the Bluetooth connected. Our phones are both Samsung Z-flip 4's. I did get a replacement phone a couple weeks ago for a warrenty issue but it's been fine until now. I'll keep experimenting and if I ever figure it out I'll update this post. Thanks for all the help and brain storming.

Update: I went back to using my old phone, (z-flip 3) problem solved. Makes no sense at all. I don't know anything about phone Bluetooth architecture but there is something weird about my 2nd but new z-flip 4 phone. My old z-flip 3 phone and my wife's new identicle z-flip 4 have no issues at all. @20blue maybe this could be your issue as well. Hope this helps some of yall that may have the same issue.

It's got to be a connection issue between Uconnect and the Z Flip 4. My wife's phone connects fine, but as soon as she answers a call through the truck I can't hear her at all but she can hear everything on my end. I keep checking on her Flip 4 daily for any updates. I sent Samsung an email but haven't heard anything as of yet.

Could be a connection issue. Strange thing is we both have identical zflip 4 phones with the same updates. Only mine has issues while connected to my truck. So I think it's something specific to my individual phone. As far as the not being able to hear, I also have the same issue. Give the call 10-15 seconds and see if it connects. Or try toggling the Bluetooth off then back on. Mine always eventually connects.

I had a similar issue with the GF and her phone in her car while mine worked fine. Ended up doing an update on her iphone and the bluetooth issues disappeared. I wonder if you can do a firmware update on yours. Can you check your phone and your wifes and make sure they are running the same update?

Another thing you can do which may suck is to factory reset the phone and try it all again. But I'm not sure how those phones work so you may need to do a backup.

Did that. Yeah they're both loaded with the latest updates. Thanks though. I just switched back to my zflip 3 and life is good.
