So out of curiosity and since there aren't a lot of examples of this new grille in painted black, I found a photo online to somewhat compare the look on black. Although it's on a Wrangler not a JT, I'm sure it'll look somewhat the same.

Take note of how the trim area almost looks nearly gray next to the painted black along the outside. Not sure if I like that. Considering it defeats the whole blacked out look I have going on. It kind of reminds me of the Overland silver trim insert I initially had on my Overland that Sahara wranglers also have, that I got rid of.

Note on the Punkn just as a reference below or any other colors besides black like the OPs white for example, the small trim doesn't appear as light next to it leading into the darker center area of the grille as it does compared to the black. So it looks better on lighter colors from what I've seen thus far researching. I'd still like to maybe see black in person and actually on a JT. But that lighter almost greyish tone trim doesn't do it for me on a black.

I saw a black one in person at the dealer which prompted me to order the new grille. They all will have the gunmetal gray trim pieces. Here’s a photo I took of the one I saw for your reference. This is what swayed me LOL.

Well hell yeah. I should have just asked you for reference. I'm over here googling my ass off lol. But yeah I just don't know how much I like that lighter color next to the black. I got rid of that look early on. Looks decent on others but this may not be for me after all, unless it grows on me.

Thanks for the reference nonetheless.

Very similar look to my original grille when I first got my JT compared to now. Noticable differences below. I feel like I'd be going backwards.

I think it would look good on yours. The original Overland/Sahara silver trim is a lot brighter. The 24 grille is a nice metallic dark gunmetal. But I see where you’re coming from.

If you’re the the same Sarge502 I’m thinking of on my IG, I think it would flow well with your current theme.

Quick Photoshop to see what all black would look like...

Been waiting to see what the satin performance grille part number is. I just bought the non 2024 version, think I’ll stick with it, but curious.

That is so awesome. It solves pretty much the only styling dislike I had on these. Definitely doing this upgrade

The ebay seller is American Expedition Vehicles (AEV). Their eBay store is set up under their LLC. AEV is their dba.

This explains why they've had a slew of them for sale. They must be reverting to the previous grill design. They are definitely trying to take advantage of the limited supply, the prices will settle.
