I mean, I like some of the changes for a late model refresh. A full float axle is great, the 4xe being able to act as a charger/generator in a pinch is kind of cool too. Jeep seating seems to be hit or miss with folks, for me it's a hit so I would prefer to not have power seats in a Rubicon, but I get the change. But hey, with the seats in my LJ, maybe my back has been formed into Jeep shape road tripping for the last 18ish years in it.

No one is going to know 100% until they get their hands on a salvage one to play around with and see, but it has been discussed in a few other threads and most seem to think at a minimum it will be a whole dash swap as it will be more than just the surface panels as the back substructure will also be different to maybe even also the HVAC box needing swapped also.

Oh I'm sure someone will do it and post on Youtube lol.

I'd like to see the new dash before I really decide, but wireless android auto is really nice in my work car.

Power seats are the only thing appealing to me. The Uconnect 5 would be except I hear of lots of problems with it from the GC owners. Wouldn’t touch that for a couple more years once they’ve worked out the issues.
Out of curiosity, why do you like power seats? Do other people drive your Jeep frequently? I literally picked my JT up from the dealership 2 years ago, adjusted the seats, and haven't touched them again. It seems power seats are kind of a waste of money unless there are multiple drivers. Even then, is pushing a powered button that much easier than pulling a small lever?

The Gladiator will be my wife's DD (coming from a GC Trailhawk). However, I do all the driving when we are together. Power seats are a must for us as we have significantly different seat positions and it's way more than a simple pull the lever.

I didn’t say it was of huge value, ;). I do like the slightly more control you get over your seating position you get. More fine control if you will. Unfortunately I am sensitive to seating position. I’ve sold a newvehicle before after 1 year because I couldn’t get comfortable.

After thinking about this I’d say the full float axle would be the biggest bang for me but it’s only available on the Rubicon, which I have no need for all that capability :(

I had the oppurtunity to see one on a dealer loy in person.
There was a row of renegades next to it. Looks ok on the renegade. Not so much on the wrangler. The 12 in wide stereo seems to take the place of a lot of the vehicle controls. So if that takes a dump? i can only imagine how expensive that is gonna be. Besides, while the stereo is low profile compared toany out on the market. I dont think it adds to the interior asthetic. That stereo also blends over into the instrument cluster. I think stellantis is moving further away from the jeep roots in favor of technology. Just my 2 pennies.

The center stack manual controls below it is pretty much the same as what is current. So I cannot see the new radio/infotainment screen being any more restrictive than what we have now.

I would for a Android based OS radio in a heartbeat.
To be totally fair, UConnect 5 is Android, just not like you are probably wanting

Maybe I didn't catch it but does the full float have a higher weight capacity? Or is anything with the rated GVW going to change? Or will it remain the same as current?

It increases tow capacity to 5K pounds.

Yeah that's for the wrangler I'm assuming though. Tow capacity for JTR is already 7K...... So maybe it up's it to almost 10K and a little increase in payload? I think the current GVW for the JTR (and max tow) anyway puts it in the class 2 category and the others are still in the class 1 category according to the FHA and DOE - https://afdc.energy.gov/data/10380

I would assume that a full floating axle would increase GVW and towing capacity but to my understanding FCA already worked SUPER hard at the current tow and GVW so I'm not so sure that would be increased, but it certainly would be nice seeing as how a lot of folks overload these anyway.

Yeah, well we are talking about the 24 Jeep Wrangler in this thread, ;). It will be interesting to see if this gets thrown into the Gladiator.

Aside from the increased towing I'm not sure if it ups the GVW or the payload . One might assume so but you know what they say about assumptions......
