I am new to the mod game here and am floating around a little. Is there anything I need to be aware of before ordering tires? Below is what I am looking at. I have an LE, but am looking to upgrade the suspesion and add a 2.5" lift.

I have Trail Grapplers on Rubicon wheels. No issues at all. Clayton 2.5" lift, which is +2.5" on the Rubicon and more like +3.5" on my Overland. It also has 1.75" spacers because it isn't Rubicion or Max Tow.

Stock wheels are 7.5 wide. Check the width that Nitto specs for that tire. I bet it's 8.5" minimum.

they do want 8.5-11 but it works fine on the 7.5 and I have seen people go to 12.
That's all a matter of comfort. It's not an arbitrary range from the manufacturers. Personally, I wouldn't deviate on that.

You should be fine, but before ordering, I'd give @Discount Tire a shout to see if they can get you a better price. They're a forum sponsor. :like:

You may have to shop around on tire shops to see if someone will mount and balance those tires on OEM wheels.
As mentioned, the recommended wheel width is wider than stock. Most shops won't accept the liability of mounting a wide tire on a narrow wheel.

I buy my tires from a real 4x4 shop and they've never turned a hair at mounting 12.5's on 7.5" OEM wheels.

Highly doubt any shop gives push back let alone refusal. It's not really a safety issue it's a tire performance issue. The tire isn't going to collapse because it's 1" narrower a rim, that's just 1/2" each sidewall. Those things can support a truck at 5psi. Each tire is rated at 2,200 lbs of load at 35psi. They're crazy strong.

Nor is it going to blow off the rim. You just won't maybe get quite optimal performance from the tire as you would on the wider rim that lets it sit a little better.
