Do you have a citation for this?
You've heard of computer simulations........ they don't necessarily use an actual vehicle in a physical test, but they have to test - even on computer - with various engines and weights.
During the development of the JT - the engineers were told they could not change the radiator support area for "more cooling" as it was already certified, tested.
Some info could have been taken from the Wrangler and then modeled on computer plugging in the different weights and lengths as a longer vehicle will behave differently and have different mass, center of gravity and so on.

Computer based on similar models and engines or physical testing, it's all money and time.

As far as the IIHS, they do their own testing.

My citation is my own experiences and observations.
And - you can easily look anything up these days if you want to.

So how do I read this? I’m trying to figure out if the next years Grand Cherokee is getting any new engine options since I may be adding one to the garage.
If I search the car mags all they have is a bunch of guesswork on the upcoming engines. They do have pictures of what the interior changes are but I’m not interested in that. Current interior is gorgeous as it stands.

So no crash testing then. That’s what I thought. You’re also wrong about the camel thing by the way.

- it depends on the interpretation of the Greek words. And the three versions of the story use different words that end up with slightly different meanings.
It could be interpreted to mean "knot" instead of "camel".
There's a lot of back and forth on it. And is Jesus saying it's very difficult, or impossible? It's not impossible if you shed your worldly goods and change your ways.

It is explained otherwise; That at Jerusalem there was a certain gate, called, The needle’s eye, through which a camel could not pass, but on its bended knees, and after its burden had been taken off; and so the rich should not be able to pass along the narrow way that leads to life, till he had put off the burden of sin, and of riches, that is, ceasing to love them.

Anselm of Canterbury as cited in Catena Aurea, Thomas Aquinas, CCEL Edition
.

By this saying it is shown to be not difficult but impossible. For if, in the same way that a camel cannot pass through the eye of a needle, so a rich man cannot enter into the kingdom of heaven, then no rich man will be saved. But if we read Isaiah, how camels of Midian and Ephah come to Jerusalem with gifts and offerings, and those that were previously bent and distorted by the depravity of vices entered the gates of Jerusalem, we will see how even these camels to which the rich are compared, when they have laid aside their heavy burden of sins and the crookedness of their whole body, they can enter through the narrow and strait road that leads to life.

Jerome’s Commentary on Matthew, trans. Scheck, 220-221.

They have the option on crash testing - it's been done physically and by computer. Cheaper by computer, of course, but it's still crash testing. They can't avoid it.

You can take the words "crash testing" however you wish, but physical, or virtual, it's still crash testing.
The engine makes a difference. The mass distribution, center of gravity, weights, all matters, they don't just bolt in an engine and call it a day.

I think you're hearing/reading what you want to hear/see. I read his reply and in no way did it connect those dots that you did...

If the status is approved, it's a done deal.

If it's cancelled, it's not happening.

If it's Investigate, they're looking into it.

If it's not on the list, it's not a thing, no matter what Mr Motel Mopar 8 says.

To expand, nothing ever happens without going on this list first. No one ever just comes like, like Alright boys, we're done bein woke this here's Merrica, we're slapping Hemi's up in everything GIT ER DUN HOSS!!!!!!!!!!!

It get's proposed, the proposal, if green lit, goes on the list, 50 million components go out for quote or requote, 50 million time, feasibility, and TAC studies get done, if the prices and feasibility come back, it get's approved.

Not just, *hits bong, Know what would be cool? If we put a 5.7 in a JT... Hell yeah, let's do it

Got it. So the info. I'm looking for is not on this graphic. Just that the WL Laredo extension isn't happening.

Nothing JT on the chart at all, right? Or am I missing it? I’m on mobile so image zoom is a little tricky…

Correct.

And all that means is, they're not currently considering anything, but if they do, it'll be added
