Call the Credit Card company and complain, it's an unauthorized charge. They have to disclose up front that there is a fee for using a credit card. Also Call Mastercard/Visa (whoever is the backing company) as this is likely a violation of the Vendors Merchant agreement.
This… it is a violation of the merchant agreement. The card issuers rarely enforce it though.

I would prefer to not identify the vendor at this time.
Well maybe once you get it figured out.... if a mistake.. then carry one, if it's not, maybe save someone else on the forum from the same thing. But I understand your reserve for now. Mr._Bill has great advice on this. Again, good luck getting it figured.

Thats retarded. Online merchants should never add a fee for credit cards. They should structure it into thier pricing because they should know that 99.9 percent of their sales will be by Credit Card!

Following-up. I was notified that this policy does not relate to retail orders.
