Ok...first this is for a 2020 Jeep Wrangler JL Rubicon 3.6L with factory LED. This is my buddies jeep. But I have a 2022 Gladiator Ecodiesel Rubicon factory LED.
I'm stupid....I admit it....so let's get past that part very quickly.
He needed to replace the aux battery. I just recently did mine. Turns out the replacement of the aux on the Ecodiesel is so much easier...by like 1000x. Regardless I removed everything...yes went from under the hood. Putting everything back in...mind you this is 9pm during the week and I am tired. The stupid little battery cozy got pushed up...took the aux battery back out....fixed the cozy and put back in.....I did not reconfirm the orientation.....YES I"M STUPID!!!! Yes hooked aux battery up backwards.....SPARKY SPARKY.
Ok....thankfully no damage or big problems other than passenger headlight was fried, well don't really know...just was not functioning. Fine...my problem....I took my passenger headlight from my gladiator. Installed......everything works on his whole jeep except the Halo on the passenger side. Again...these are factory LED headlights...same part numbers plag and play. Everything works...low beam and high beam. Just the halo. Checked every fuse....yes the 2 radio fues and the main fuse all had to be replaced. Those were the only 3 that were bad. Pulled every fuse and visually inspected with a light.
Dealer says it's the BCM. I'm not totally convinced. I do not have fine enough tips on my multimeter to test things.
So does anyone care to admit they are stupid and did something similar. Any ideas why the halo isn't working? Again...every other function on his jeep works fine. I consider that very lucky.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you...again I think I know how stupid I am at this point. And if you are looking to get factory parts for a bit cheaper....BAM Wholesalers seems to be a very good place to get OEM Mopar parts.
