I haven't done it yet, but will be doing it very soon. We're working on a plug and play back up light harness like we have for the JK that will make this a very easy task without having to cut any factory wires.
Do you have a release date for this harness yet?

Find Carter Fab and Machine on facebook or instagram. They make very solid brackets that bolt on via the bumper mount itself instead of the little screws for the reflector plates. I am using their brackets with my Rigid Dually Diffused very happy.

I did my whole transaction with them via Insta private message if you are on there, very simple with PayPal.
Thank you for posting this. Nothing wrong with the visionx kit, but I’ve been looking for something different. I just ordered a set for $60 delivered. I’m not on FB or Instagram, so I appreciate this forum.

Recieved my Carter Fab & Machine brackets today and ran the wiring. Just need to get my lights!

New Jeep owner here. Really good info in these forums.

Does anyone with the vision x set think it’s too bright to be connected to the reverse lights? I don’t want to blind others in a parking lot say.

Any input appreciated.

I woukd agree that they are too bright to be used as reverse lights in most cases. For this reason I did not wire them to come on in reverse. I wired them to Aux 3. If I need or want them I simply hit the button but I don’t blind others unnecessarily. If I’m in the sticks where there is no or little other light from street lights or other vehicles I can use them as reverse lights easy.

Thanks for the input.

Anyone with with the oracle reflector lights think they are too bright to tie into the reverse lights? I’m trying to decide which way to go with limited space in the bumper.

flundertaker. I see the sticker on your pic. I will definitely be looking into that club.

Thanks again.

I'm still waiting on the new Oracle reflector lights. As far as I know they haven't started shipping them yet.

I used a Curt harness adapter and tied into the reverse line in the towing harness. It powers the additional pair of KC backup lights with no issues.
care to link to this harness?

i wanted to make use of my aux switches and i don’t need them on every time i reverse
With a relay, you can tie them directly to the reverse lights and also manually turn them on with a switch. It would save you some manual switching.
