I’m really loving it. Still getting used to the way it handles and figuring out how I want to adjust the shocks. TeraFlex support seems really easy to deal with and quick to respond so far too.

Here’s my flex test in the jungle this morning and text exchange with my youngest daughter who is not impressed.

Looks great. I ran a Teraflex 3” kit on my JKUR for 7 years and never had any issues with it. Coming from the JK I’m actually surprised there aren’t more people running Teraflex kits on their JTs (at least from what I see here).

So, when you say “getting used to how it drives”, what do you mean? How is it different?

Totally. TeraFlex seems rocksolid to me. The only other one that makes me almost second-guess myself is Clayton, but I’m totally happy so far.

This is my first lifted Jeep and also the first time I’ve had adjustable shocks. It’s a lil bit more wobbly going down the road and I definitely prefer the firmer shock setting at higher speeds. No big deal though. Just getting used to the feel is all. Lucky for me nothing happens quickyfast here.

They are true beadlocks so you have to sign up for the maintenance responsibility and maybe look around for a shop that will work on them depending on your state. They are incredible looking and It feels good to steer clear of the faux beadlocks in favor of something with off road utility.

Had the dealer install the Mopar trailer brake controller today before driving it over to Taylor @RebelOffRoad today for the serious stuff!

The dealership charged $659 for parts and installation. I’m not entirely sure the thing works though to be honest. I haven’t had a chance to hook it up and use it yet but I’ve noticed sometimes it lights up when I start the Jeep, but it’s dark most of the time.

Islands and Jeeps just seem to go together. In the past I would always rent a Jeep while on vacation on an island. Have fun! P.S. Don't know if anybody caught it, but NCIS Hawaii totalled a Rubicon Gladiator on the episode this week!

Turo has lots of Rubicons for rent in Hawaii. Even the major car rental agencies have 5% of the Jeeps Rubicon, but you can't reserve them. Many of the Turo Rubicons are lifted.

If you decide to install it yourself its quite simple. The hardest part was getting the damn 12v outlet out of the plastic. Total install time was about 25 min. The controller will light up red when you first start up the jeep, but if there is nothing plugged into the 7pin trailer connector the lights will remain off. Once there is it will light up green. I have found that the numbers pretty much match the amount of weight you are pulling to make it simple.

Awesome build and you are making me miss my time in Hawaii. Lived there from 2006-2008. I used to get parts shipped to Oahu by using an air freight company named "Ship to Hawaii", not sure if they are still around.

I lived in Kaneohe and Kailua from 1970-72 after Vietnam. Hard to leave but been back many times since. Paradise.
