Ah, technology.
My wife usually has her phone connected and usually puts in directions (Waze or Apple Maps) to wherever we go. Sometimes we'll lose audio, but it's the verbal directions that cut out the audio. It's happened maybe 2 or 3 times.
There are so many issues at hand - head unit to phone, phone and app interaction, interactions between apps, etc.
Turning it off and on can make things work, though.
It happens infrequent enough it's not on my radar to fix. I'm not even sure when the last time the head unit got an update.
