My first car was a wagoneer. I bought it when I was 17 for $1000 from my rich girlfriends parents, who let me pay them 100 a month for 10 months. We broke up, they said I didn’t have to finish paying them, but my parents made me finish the deal.

Anyways, I loved that thing. Road trips, mudding, the snow, the beach, the rental income from renting the back out friends to hook up with their gfs.... it had a 360 in it I think, the steering was loose but it had a electric back window like the tundras. One day I was driving to school and had friends piled in, with one kid in the back. I hit a huge pot hole and that back window shattered all over him. Scared the shit out of all of us. He didn’t even get cut!

Ahhh the memories. After 3 years the tranny locked up and I got $750 for it. Was worth every penny. Now that I think of it I have a special place for them....

If they made it retro like the challenger I would be down. We have a second baby on the way... I think we might NEED a full-size suv combined with the gladiator!!

That is a great story! And I completely agree on the retro style. If they could make it an off road beast mixed with the vintage look, I would be all in. The few restored ones I've seen on the road definitely make me want one more. I bet you wish you could find the one you once had....and what a good price you paid too

I'm planing on getting a gladiator in the near future and by the time the wagoneer comes out I'll be interested to see how it turns out I heard it's supposed to be three row seating that's what's got me most interested in it for the wife and kids

Okay...now if this is the wagoneer, then no thanks. It just looks like a run of the mill grand Cherokee. I was thinking it would look more old school.

I agree. I am really curious to how they will

It does!! That's hilarious. I truly hope they make it better than this one!

If you were expecting something old school, I think you will be very disappointed. Yes the wrangler and Gladiator look kinda retro, but lets be honest here. How could they NOT look retro. It's hard to stay true to the wrangler without keeping a certain look. Jeep has tried the retro thing with no success. The Patriot and Commander were both designed with squared off XJ Cherokee-esque styling. Yet neither sold very well at all. If you look at the jeep lineup as a whole, minus the JL/JT they all share a very similar look. Even the redesign of the `19 Cherokee brings it more inline with the family look of the Grand Cherokee and compass. And all 3 models are selling VERY WELL I would be SHOCKED if the Waggy/Grand Waggy stray very far from what appears to be a very successful modern jeep lineage.
