So 34.4 tall and 12.4 wide. I suppose for the price we got them for that I can live with them not being 35 and 12.5.

Now I need to convince myself that with the huge savings on the tires I can now order some wheels and have them powder coated before the Mojave arrives. What’s the Gobi paint code???

If basing it off the tire deal, I’d hold off on that rim order until the rubber hits your driveway, unless u want them either way.

I have still been showing out of stock since yesterday. I was thinking about getting a set along with some Quadratec Morphic wheels. Then turn around and sell my stock Willys wheels and Kenda Klever AT2s.

Most 35s are 34.5s anyway. 315s/70r17s are generally considered a "metric 35" at 34.4. For example, 315/70r17 is the stock size on the sasquatch broncos sold as 35s

For anyone that gets them and looking for install options I had mine done at discount tire. They mounted them on my new rims and switched over the TPMS sensors.

Every shop is going to be different, even chain shops like discount tire. Gotta call around and ask. My experience is you'll find more nos than yesses. Personally i'm on team "follow a manufacturer's recommendations" especially on a tire with a 50k warranty. You get a bad tire and want to claim at 15k and they find out you mounted on a 7.5 their response is going to be "tough titties"

That being said, at this price (if you were previously able to get it) i'm guessing warranty might not be your primary buying motivation.

Personally i'm on team "follow a manufacturer's recommendations" especially on a tire with a 50k warranty. You get a bad tire and want to claim at 15k and they find out you mounted on a 7.5 their response is going to be "tough titties"

That being said, at this price (if you were previously able to get it) i'm guessing warranty might not be your primary buying motivation.

This is not true, I have 37 12.5 17 tires mounted on my stock wheels, 17x7.5, discount tire had no problem with mounting them. I also had 35 12.5 17 mounted on my stock JKU wheels that were 17x7.5 and had a tire warranty issue that had no problem being covered. If the tire is bad it's bad and will be covered. Discount also has its own warranties they put on tires and if the warranty would not be covered they wouldn't mount them. This is there spec sheet on what can and can't be mounted. Tire companies have a recommended wheel width but this sheet is the spec sheet for what can be done within specs.

They mounted my 37 12.5 17 tires for $175 out the door. Both times that was the price and with free tire repair on each tire and they will check your air pressure for free and add air anytime you go by. Can't beat it. They didn't even sell me the tires and patch one of mine for free. I didn't even know they offered the service or that it was a part of the install price.

Note that was for 4 not 5 mounted and balanced out the door.

PSA to Fellow Kenda brotherhood:

We’re cookin’…they were picked up so unless Walmart plans on chasing them down I-10, they’re mine.

I doubt they come as late as Thursday though. That doesn’t make sense if they get to the Houston center tonight. Maybe that’s a priority management thing on their end though.
