I'd have to look but I wonder if that's the PCM recall - it's a rapid transmittal thing, sort of like a TSB, but it's a "this needs to be done" thing more than a "if customer complains" thing.

The Z37 PCM reprogram technical service bulletin. Some dealer paperwork (including mine) called it a "recall". Just a reflash of the PCM for CEL issues that have been cropping up. Had mine done and no more CEL. I had no drivability issues.

If there is an open item for your VIN, when you take it in for almost anything they'll do it if they have the parts or time.

Yeah I was wondering why they didn’t say anything about it

I understand where you are coming from. On my 2020 Gladiator, they flashed the PCM and changed out front fender liners when it came in for a oil change because there was open RTT/TSB on two separate issues.

I think the dealerships do it without asking is because in many cases it is a easy warranty billable to FCA to knock it out while one is in for other work.

When the service writers input your VIN into a new repair order, their system will populate to them what RTT/TSB and recalls are outstanding.

Some do - some don't.
I've always been asked if they plug into the OBD port and see anything open for my VIN.
I usually say yes.

I wanted a couple of the options not available when I bought my first one, and I decided I wanted the aux switches (I know, I know, they can be added, but.......... with the factory option you get the bigger battery and the extra wiring in the cab)
And - with prices being what they were, miles adding up, the basic warranty ending this year, and some other factors, it made financial sense, plus I got the options I wanted.
There are also some subtle changes that are interesting that you won't know about until or unless you start tearing things apart and snooping around.
Whoever buys or bought my 2020 is getting a heck of a nice truck.
