Has anyone else experience this? With all the rain this week, its been a bummer to see my new jeep leaking from the back window and the Adaptive Cruise Control sensor. I have never taken my windshield down either.

I do not have adaptive cruise .. however I have had a drip or 2 come through by the rearview mirror during really heavy rains after being parked for a while ... also I think it's only when parked with the front in a decline position ... have yet to bring it in ... happened twice in 9 months..

Mine has been a minor trickle down the windsheild today, the day i noticed it earlier in the week was when I saw a very small puddle on my floorboard. I will have to it checked out along with the back window.

Is it possible that you have a lot of humidity and it’s cold enough that the system is employing it’s heater function so it’s liquified the air and making water? Either way … I’d take it in

Sorry, that's a bit contrary to science, isn't it? If there's a heater to defog anything in there, warm air holds more moisture and would evaporate any fog on the glass or electronics in the box.
Condensation appears on cold surfaces, which should mean heat isn't working.

I would ask - is it possible it's a windshield leak and getting into that box and dripping from the box?
If there's heat or warmth in the box, it should evaporate any water, there should not be condensation.
Condensation would indicate cold, not warmth, correct?
Turn on the heated defrost/defog grid on a car with rear window defrost and the fog goes away.
Warm air in the vehicle or house would condense on a cold window - on the inside of the window.

Hmmmm, I wasn't saying "wrong!"
I was asking - is that how this would work if you heated that area?
My intent was only on seeing if you could confirm my thinking on it - or come back and say to me "that's not how these work".

Didn't mean to say or imply "you are wrong", I was just wondering how it plays out with my understanding of that area and glass in general.

I could be wrong on that, have never worked on those and have only had the windshield down a couple of times and covered that area with the provided cover, didn't mess with it.

It may not have been your intention, but — “Sorry, that's a bit contrary to science, isn't it?” did come across to me as “that’s impossible” which implied he was “wrong”. So I understand his response. Not trying to stir the pot here, just offer a bystanders view.

We’re scientists, engineers, mechanics, and armchair warriors just trying to help each other out. Heck, it wouldn’t surprise me if there were a couple brain surgeons and/or rocket scientists in our midst. Being of the armchair variety I appreciate all the suggestions and ideas offered in the forum. Please keep them all coming.

Almost forgot- I’d head to the dealer. Seems like a gasket or windshield/window adhesive issue. Let us know what you find.
