Built JKUR to an F150 FX4, to my 2022 Mojave!
I test drove a 21 Mojave that has a LOUD sloshing like this. It sounded like 5 gallons in the hard top. Have they fixed this in production yet? Hoping my ordered 22MY doesn't leak. It's one of the reasons I'm upgrading from 2013 F150... The rear brake light seal leaked water for awhile, and now both rear cab corners are rusting out. 😒

Thanks guys. You were right it’s coming in from the back window. I’m going to pull the top off and try and get the water out and seal it myself. I’ve had to many issues with dealerships near me
Please update this thread with what you do and if it works. I just noticed the same issue with my 2020. I have 47,000 miles so not going to try and get it warrantied.

Seems like an easy fix to put a bead of RTV between the window and the hard top in the groove around the window on the outside of the truck but I don’t want it to look like shit when I’m done. I have never been successful at making caulking or silicone look good. Usually turns out like a big goopy sloppy mess.

We have that problem with wrangler 1 touch top. 2021 altitude

Been a month and they believe it's almost fixed. Today they tell me, they are replacing the fabric section...

I've not had this problem in my gladiator though...
Hope it gets straightened out

The other issue for those of us in Northern climes is when Winter comes, if the water is not removed, it'll freeze, expand, and crack the roof. I'm stopping at my dealer's next week to get the service manager to come give a listen to the sloshing water and ask them what they're gonna do about it. My dealer seems pretty good about things so...we'll see.

So, I was at my dealership today and they've never heard of this so, I showed them...rocked the truck and they heard the sloshing.

It, for me, is a moot point as I just ordered a 2021 Overland in Snazzberry with the cold weather package, preferred equipment group (upgrades speakers, 8.4" w/ Nav, Leather, etc.) remote locks, trailer package, bed liner, tonneau cover and the Selec-trac transfer case (2H 4FT 4PT N 2L) anti-spin rear (basically my 2020 except for the leather and better x-fer case and color...mine is the Firecracker Red).
Hey Steve, You wrote you just ordered a '21 which I read as last week or this one---but the order banks have been closed for quite some time now. Did you order earlier or do you realize you're going to be getting a '22 model unless there is a '21 model being shipped to you from another dealer?

I am worried about water freezing in the hard top. Like I mentioned, I am way out of warranty so I am going to try some DIY solutions before spending the cash on a new rear window.

I canceled the order because the window for 2021s was closed and because of price increase of the '22s. Plus, the realization that the difference in trade for my current one plus buying out the lease, to pay for the 2022, that money will be better spent in home improvements. Sticking with my 2020 (2019  ) Gladiator.

BTW...I went to the dealership yesterday and got a service manager to listen to the sloshing. Their 'leak guy' will be in on 3 November and, so will my Jeep. Only 14,600 on it so definitely will be warranty work. I said the same thing to them that they not only need to fix the leak but to drain the top so it doesn't freeze and crack the top in winter. They totally agreed.

What’s the easiest way to replicate the sloshing sound to the dealership especially if it hasn’t rained in a while? My truck only does it sometimes but you can see on the rear window where water has run down the inside (and is now dry). Also… where does this water pool up and create the sloshing sound? I hear it but can’t see it and no water is on my floor either. 🤷🏼

Easy...get in the back seat, grab the roof cage and start rocking the truck back and forth. It'll slosh. I still have sloshable water in mine and it really hasn't rained heavily here in quite a while.

The water pools in the bottom of the roof below the rear window.

Thanks to everyone who posted in this thread. The dealership is replacing my rear window under warranty.
Mine goes in tomorrow morning to get it looked at by their "leak specialist". I hope that not only do they fix the rear window leak but, they pull off the top and drain it. Winter's coming and if there's water in there, it'll freeze and potentially crack the top for even bigger problems...

UPDATE...just got off the phone with the dealership. The water tech (as they call him) said that it was the rear window seal that was letting in the water so he was able to get most of the water out but not all, and did a whole new seal around the rear window.

In speaking with the service manager, I said that ALL the water needs to come out so it doesn't freeze and crack the roof. The manager said they can still hear the water but aren't sure where it is. I suggested they take the roof off and drill several holes between the roof shells along the bottom edge and let the water drain. I also requested they spray some sort of mold preventer inside so in the summer it doesn't commence to smelling, then they can easily plug the holes with some sort of epoxy or 'Flex Seal' or something and put the roof back on.

Keep youse all posted on my experience 👍👍👍

Latest Update... the dealership took off the roof and tried to drain the rest of the water by drilling a couple of holes in the base where it meets the body but, no water came out of the holes and they can still hear water inside. They cannot drill anywhere else to release the water as those areas are not really 'drillable'.

They are currently in consultation with Jeep to simply replace the roof.

WATCH THIS SPACE...

LATEST UPDATE... So, just got a text from my service advisor at the dealership. They were able to get Jeep to agree to replace the entire hard top!!!

She said it will take a couple of weeks to come in (hopefully sooner but...still...) and they'll let me know when it's in, on, and I can pick up my truck. This is good news. They've only had it since 11/3 but, they at least tried to fix it, but then had to wait for Jeep to say "Yes" to replacing the top which they did 👍 👍 👍

At least I have another vehicle to get around with...the wife's '19 GC Ltd so, at least it's still a Jeep ;)
