I appreciate everyone’s feed back thus far, I guess I should add a couple notes.

I am the original owner of the truck.
The 37’s went on the truck a week after purchase, and while I try to be nice to the gladiator it does get used off-road.

Up until about a month ago the steering has been “enough”, having 37’s on factory steering obviously isn’t the best and ya I can see it being hard on the pump.
It just seems kind of odd that it’s been good and I haven’t really had much issue until this point.
Being from what I understand an electric motor on a hydraulic pump I would think the motor would just die if anything and like I’ve said for the most part I’ve only really seen total failures online.

Im 90% sure I haven’t brought the fluid level low enough or been on enough of an angle to cause an air bubble in the system, but to be honest I kinda feels that way now that some people have said that.
Some times it feels fine, other times it just feels like there is no pressure.
I’ve also seen a couple posts about the aux battery / grounds causing issues?

As for it getting cold and it possibly having an affect with the larger tires, this is coming up on the 4th winter and it’s never acted like this before.

For now I’ll keep an eye on it, if I’m going to replace / change anything I think I might go down the route of bolting on a 3.6 jk pump..

If anyone else has had similar issues I’d love to hear about it.
Or if anyone has done the conversion to the jk pump I’d love to hear about that as well.

At 80 mph, I only need three fingers on the steering wheel..
At highway speeds, most systems kick down to idle, or off. There's no assist at highway speeds. It's not needed. Discussed this and the forces on steering parts with a group of hotrodders last week.

37s are hard on our rigs and the stock PS pump is not up to the job, even when it is healthy.
No doubt. Does anyone know the capabilities of the stock pump vs. other solutions as far as volume and pressure?

Noticed you have a 2020 Gladiator. Did you get the steering box upgrade TSB done? It should have also received a update to the Electric Hydraulic Power Steering (EHPS) software. People that have had the new steering gear installed without updating the EHPS software have reported poor performance.
I was denied the TSB by 3 different dealerships because of my lift and tires.

I also had service advisors tell me that the TSB was United States only..

so that’s fun

Is the TSB to to fix the USA or vehicles made in the USA? Ask your service advisor where your truck was made and see what happens.
I had that same answer given me by a service manager with my last truck and when I asked where my truck was made, he paused and understood that cross border really didn’t matter and I got my truck fixed.

Didn't know the JT was made in Canada............ thought the NA market vehicles all came from Ohio.

Doesn't matter, the TSB covers pretty much any market.
