Following up on my post - it turns out now that both front window visors are falling down when the windows are rolled down, even after letting them sit with windows rolled up for 48 hours per WeatherTech's recommendation.

I assume (you know what they say about assumptions...) what's happening is that the visors are pressing against the rubber window seals and causing the seals to have memory in the pressed-out configuration, so that when the windows are rolled down, the seals can't grip the visors.

I sent an email to WeatherTech last night asking if they could send me a set of metal clips (same as used on the rear visors to prevent this problem) - thinking that if I put them on the front visors, it would solve the issue.

Just got an email alert from FedEx saying something's shipped from WeatherTech, and I assume it's the clips.

Long story short, great customer support from WeatherTech. With no questions asked, they took action in less than 24 hours. Again a disclaimer, I have no affiliation with this company other than being a long-time customer. Great products made in USA and responsive customer service and support? Done deal.

I'll report back after I install the clips. While I'm sure this issue can be solved by simply installing a couple pieces of double-stick adhesive, I like the clip solution if it works.
Hey, did they end up sending you the clips for the front? And did that work? I’m having issues with the fronts rubbing and windows not rolling up properly and it's causing way too kudu of an issue for what’s supposed to be a premium product.

Not to know Weathertech but i have had a set of EGR window rain guard. I have had them on for 6 years on my 2015 jeep unlimited and put them on right away on my gladiator. Since i do not like the smoked look. These are great because they are matte finish and not see through.

I had AVS in channels on my JK. They were awesome. Bought them for my Grand Cherokee and they sucked. Returned them because they didn't fit. Gonna wait and see feedback on these. I don't usually go for Weathertech because you are pretty much paying for the name. But if they work I'll give them a shot.

They sent the clips pronto! Kudos to WeatherTech for the prompt customer service. So the thing is... I'm embarrassed to say... the problem was (as another forum member pointed out) I didn't insert the deflectors into the proper location. Once I did this, without the clips, everything works as expected.

So, that said, let's figure out what the issues are. First, make sure the visors are seated in the correct channel. Are they falling down when you roll the windows down? This would suggest you don't have the deflectors inserted in the proper channel. That's what I did wrong. Or, when you roll the windows up, is the glass binding up tight? This might suggest you haven't used the spreader tool to properly spread out the window seal to make room for the added plastic of the deflectors.

Hey thanks for the info. I do have them installed into the correct channel, but there’a a lot of friction with the window, so much so that it doesn’t close all the way only after multiple attempts. Otherwise I hear creaking and rattles, small wind noise, or the sound of the window struggling to close. It’s actually embarrassing having windows make so much noise when closing, for what’s supposed be a premium product it’s causing a lot of headache. With all that being said I’ll try to reinstall this weekend. Did you end up using the clips anyway?

I ended up not using the clips. The front visors sit properly and don't fall down.

I know what you mean about the windows struggling to close. Mine still do that a little, but it's not too bad. With the visors installed, I deliberately don't roll the windows up all the way. When they reach the top it's a tight fit so I always back them down to relieve pressure. Only a smidge, just a quick press on the window roller upper downer switch thing.

If you haven't done so already, try using the spreader tool to seat the visors by running it along the rubber gasket per WT instructions. WT didn't used to include the tool but my recent order came with one. When I got the extra clips they also send another tool so let me know if you need one and I'll send it to you.

Thanks for offering to send it out! I actually have two since they included it with both front & back visors. I’m going to reinstall and take it from there.

ordered front and rear; installation was easy. They are great - solve several "issues" I have with car windows generally.

I had these on my old 2002 Grand Cherokee but have a questions here.
I have a 2021 Gladiator and am curious if the deflectors cut down on wind noise, with the windows closed, at highway speeds?
Trying to quiet the Gladdy down to allow easier in cabin conversation...
