Weird noise. Possibly transfer case. Advice sought.

My Jeep JT Sport is making an odd noise in 4H and 4L. Sound persists a short while after going back to 2H.

Me too! Did you ever figure it out? I just had my front driveline replaced and it still does it.

Might be the FAD. There is a TSB out for whirring noise of the intermediate shaft and the bushings having excessive wear.

Issue should be covered regardless if you have powertrain warranty left.

FAD? Yes, I only have 3K miles on it...just not sure where this noise is generating from. Only happens in 4H and definitely from the front (right?) maybe.

I have had it regeared to 5.13 and had that inspected and everything is perfect.
