Sorry to hear about your wife's pain level in the JT. Have you considered changing out the seats (or passenger seat)? I don't know much about it - never really researched it - but I'm pretty sure there are options that are more comfortable than the stock seats. Hope you can find something that works for you. It may end up being a combination of things? Good luck!
Yea going to look at some different things.

I just did the opposite of the OP. I just traded my ram in because I could get 5G more for it than I paid 3 years ago . I just figured I would take advantage of that fact. Most of the 20's I looked at were either a Max tow or Rubicon . Naturally most 20's still have the aluminum steering box which has to go before the 37's arrive and were out of bumper to bumper warranty . Most max tow were 32-39,000 Some Rubicons came in under 40 but mileage took them out of the game for me . I ended up with a 22 max tow with 7500 miles and naturally a steel steering box and plenty of warranty Plus it was the color I have wanted for 23 years and had all the options I wanted and then some ( other than the 3.5" dash ) Your trade is a little low but you can see now roughly what a 20 will go for on a lot in Jersey anyway. Now as soon as Fedex gets here with my springs the changes will begin .
Yea I wasn't expecting to get crazy money like they were offering before. Just figured it might be a bit more than 29K but I only checked a few sources. A friend of mine has a buddy at local dealership who says he has something that might be of interest to me and they will give me a number on my truck. I told him I would come talk to him tomorrow and see what he comes up with. Seems someone traded in a well loaded 22 Ram 1500 for a Beamer but it almost sounds to good to be true so will go check it out.

I never thought to do a build thread..... hmmm.
I am running the stock Overland rear springs with the AirLift 1000 60830
I had max tow springs under my 2020 Overland but the weight of trailer tongue still made the truck sit low in the rear and my headlights were way high when towing at night. (and the ride wasn't as good)
With the air bags I can measure the rear of the truck, add some air, connect the trailer, then add air as needed to get it close to the original height. I don't try to get it exactly, just so it's close and at least level if not with a bit of rake.
For the front springs I went with Synergy 2" JL/JT springs. That got me back to stock height plus 1.5" with the weight of the bumper, receiver and winch and they support my snow plow fine.
...
These are supposed to lift a JL 3" and a JLU or JT by 2".
The ride and handling is fantastic.

These plows are 300 pounds. The weight sits well out front so has a lot of effect on the balance of the truck. Even lowered, you still have probably 100 pounds of plow weight on it due to the rigging and brackets. The springs handle it fine. The dual rate is a big factor.
Thanks, I don't want to totally derail this thread but I have been debating replacing my front springs after installing a bumper & winch, but didn't want to make the ride stiff (and if anything would like to improve it) and had also considered air bags in the rear for towing, so it seemed like a very similar setup. I'm not sure about the 3/2 lift springs or the 2/1 springs (I'm not going to be running a plow and I don't want to put much lift on my JT; it barely clears my garage door as it is!) but it is good to have the recommendation on that brand of spring for the ride quality. I assume you are still running the stock shocks?

Its worth a look it cant hurt . I came home last Saturday when the dealer offered me a crazy low amount for my trade and just happened to check car gurus but this time I specified the color I wanted so I would no longer be tempted and a new arrival showed up with no picture . I ran the vin and checked it out . By then my wife had seen a 392 in the blue I was after. When I told her this sport s was just traded yesterday but was more than I was planning on spending being retired and nothing was wrong with my truck . She said lets go look at it so now its mine . Keep being persistent as they get good money for your vehicle . Check out trade in value on Kelly blue book . Some dealers will agree with them but make the salesman work for it

I put the 2/1" springs under the front after adding the steel bumper, winch and receiver. I figured I'd gain height but what it did was put it back to stock height. So for many, the 1" springs I took out may be fine - handle the weight, perhaps a bit of lift, but keep the ride quality.
I needed more is why I put the 3/2 springs under it in the end, due to the plow weight (just the brackets for that thing are heavy.

I feel where you are coming from. I kited my last two Gladiator trades into the next one with high equity with almost no out of pocket. Now, the market reality has set in and I cannot play that game anymore.

I'm looking for a used Jeep for a toad. The wife is looking at 2012-2015 models. Rubicons are right at the $29k price. I told her to stop looking at Rubicons for a toad. Now, I'd definitely toss the idea of a Gladiator for $29k.

Hold out for a better deal.

I went look at it and after consideration I just could not convince myself to give up my JT. Will do some tweaking to the truck. I just added a nice seat pad type deal to the seats so will see how that goes. I know just from me sitting on that seat pad its a big difference from the stock seat.

I got a very fair trade in on my gladiator last week, granted miles were pretty low at around 18k plus it's a fully loaded Mojave. Dealer already to sold it to someone in Colorado

my trade in eval also was the best offer vs carmax, carvana, vroom, kbb etc

It pays to have a well-equipped vehicle that's cared for.
Back in 95 when I traded my wife's 90 Camaro for my F250 (a mistake I'll never make again as long as I live as to this day I hear "yeah, you got rid of my favorite Camaro so you could have a truck") when we drove the Camaro in to pick up my new truck, the sales guy was there and started showing the car to another couple before we got into the building. It sold that day.
When we traded one of my wife's Grand Cherokees for a newer model there was some accessory the dealer had to order - it arrived the next day so we drove the new GC in to get it installed. As we drove up the new owners of her trade-in were getting in it and driving away. It literally sold within hours.
And similar for my 2020 JT - the dealer went through the process of getting it as a certified pre-owned Jeep and it sold within a couple of weeks.
Every vehicle I've ever owned that I traded in ended up selling either same day, next day, or within a couple of weeks. Even my 1970 C20 with 100,000 miles sold the day after I drove it in to pick up my new 87 Comanche. I went back the day after I picked up my Comanche and they were setting a topper onto the truck I traded in. The sales guy said some farmer came in, saw my truck and bought it with pretty much no discussion.

I added neoprene seat covers with lumbar support from wet okole. My wife would complain about how her back would hurt after being in the JT. After adding these seat covers, she says it's so much better. Might be worth checking out.
