I just scored a rubicon steel bumper take off, but since my overland LED fog lamps won’t fit. I was looking for a solid replacement. Currently got my eye on the Quake Halo 4” LED fog lamp.

Does anyone have any experience with this fog lamp? Are there better options out there??
I got a set of Diode Dynamics amber fog lights. Love them. Just the Sport version. Way better than the factory ones. Which weren't LED's

I am still running the factory LED fogs in an aftermarket bumper, but I went with a Baja Designs 8" amber bar on the over rider bar.
Amber cuts the fog/mist/snow so much better and makes things easier to see. The light bar gives a wider and deeper fill that the bumper location can't.

I’m waiting for this skid plate with integrated lighting by Oracle

I wanted low & amber—I’m hoping this does the trick.

I swear I thought this up about a week before they announced this…
I was doing some front end work and noticed the area inside the skid plate could easily house a 20” thin light bar like an S8. Could cut out a strip of the skid plate and mount the light bar inside so it’s pretty hidden and protected, and, well, look better than the Oracle one.

I bought a set of KC HiLiTES Gravity LED G4 Amber Fog Lights to replace the factory LED's. I'm hoping to get them installed this weekend.

So which do you prefer? SS3 are those the sport version?
I have the Max version. They are both very bright, but the beam patterns are very different because of how they use the lenses differently. The SS3 pattern is much more controlled with sharper cutoffs. I was very happy with the squadron pros, but as fog lights I hardly used them. I live in town and wouldn’t drive with them on usually, and when I tested them in snow there was more reflection in the snow falling than with the stock LED headlights which have a pretty sharp cutoff.
The SS3 have a sharp cutoff and don’t blind anybody so I use them much more often, and I think the cutoff is better for snow/fog as well.
The squadrons are awesome in their own right, I think they are better “driving” lights like out in the country or desert.
The light temperature is a little different and I like the squadrons better, but they’re pretty close.
FYI the diode dynamics lights have different temperature bulbs depending if you get the white or amber.. I think either 6000k or 4300k. So, you can have some combination of 6000k bulb and white or amber lens, or 4300k bulb and white/amber lens (so the amber lens brings it down to ~3000k). I got the 4300k bulb/amber lens as a fog light, but if I wanted another white light I could swap lenses and have a 4300k light (clear lens) instead of a 6000k light.
Some people like the higher temperature but the warmer light of 4300-5000 is easier on the eyes.
The Baja designs are closer to 5000k I believe.

Running the BD Squadron Sport with amber driving lense kit. They over power the OEM LED headlights, for the price I love them.

Thanks for the replies. I didn’t realize Amber’s were better for rain and snowy conditions. Makes sense though!

I’m kind of digging the Quake with the halo ring, and the amber turn signals. If they have the option to run amber as fogs, that’d be even better.
