I took my doors off for the first time recently and the control arm that attaches the door to the door well seems like it got sucked in on the passenger front? My gut it telling me to just try and yank it out but I thought I’d ask first and see if I was missing something. Attached a picture of what it looks like compared to what it’s supposed to look like.

I think you can either pull it it out, or if there is room put the screw in a few threads and then open the door to pull it out. Just count yourself lucky it isn't all the way into the door like it happens to some people.

Pull it out. It will take some force.

Either put the door back on and get it to where the bolt will thread in and then open the door all the way OR put a philips screwdriver through the hole, grab both sides and pull while someone holds the door down.

Alright. Thanks for the quick replies guys. Figured I had to just pull hard just wanted to make sure I wasn’t missing something. Tried to torque it over but I can’t even fit the bolt into the jam

Happened to me once. I pulled it out just enough to get the screw started, not much room with the door almost closed. Then just open the door all the way.

I just stopped using them. If you are pulling the doors off with any frequency they just get in the way.

I may hook them back up when it gets too cold to pull the doors, but I've gotten used to not having the stops, so we'll see..

I used vice grips to pull it out. It took some strength.
That’s what I did too, it was a real SOB. Not a mistake I will make again. I would just leave them pushed in like older Jeeps but my wife complains. It would be nice to R&R doors with needing tools.

I agree. I keep my top off all summer and into october usually, but since i have kids, i normally don't take the doors off. It is such a bigger pain in the ass to remove the doors then to hoist the top off. maybe i'm just used to doing it though. idk.

Because it’s so damn hot in KS over the summer I typically leave my top on for a little shade but pull the doors pretty regularly. I can remove or install all 4 in less than 10 minutes, so not too bad. My kids are older so if they fall out, it’s on them!:)

I have a cordless ratchet that I leave sitting out with the torx bit already installed, best tool ever by the way.
