That’s not a terrible idea really
I figure if you’re eyeing a top quality and dollar bumper, might as well pair it with a winch that works in it well. I wouldn’t let a $300 winch make my bumper decision, but that’s me.

It's one of the best looking bumpers on the market IMHO. Love how it looks raw.
I completely agree. It is raw aluminum. And silver zinced steel. I did it that way on purpose. I’m done doing paint touch ups on bumpers. It’ll get scratched to hell and I’ll scotch brite it or polish it. Or nothing.

Took my latest new Glad to Uwharrie (Badin Lake OHV trails) and rode some trails Wednesday. It’s been bone dry here for 10 days or so and blistering hot so the dust clouds looked like chem-trails in the sky. The Jeep was covered on the back half, but hey, it’s just dust, it will hose right off. Right?

Not this NC red clay dust. It was 95 degrees in the woods and 1400% humidity. The moisture in the air glued that red dust to the Jeep. Being only ten days old I felt compelled to give it a bath.

Installed a Yotto Overland 24+ front Grille. Overall I'm not too happy with the quality on the gloss black trim paint. I will likely be switching to Distinction Applied very soon

Nothing big done yet, but the 67designs rail mount went in today, paired with the G3 mag mount.

Yesterday I took the freedom panels off for the first time to drive. Muscle memory has me reaching for the One-Touch power top still.

Thanks. Even with the winch plate. I only lost about 1/2 an inch.
I’m trying to buy a steel OE Rubicon bumper and a Zeon 12s off Marketplace as we speak. I was wondering about the sag myself, so I walked out to the driveway and parked my large caboose (230lbs) on the front bumper. I can’t say it sagged more than that so I decided I wasn’t going to worry about it.

Thanks. Even with the winch plate. I only lost about 1/2 an inch. I may flatten it out with a .75 but any suspension changes mess with towing… it’s likely I’ll never need anything bigger than an E rated 35 at the most.
That's about what I lost with my winch.

I’m still in the honeymoon phase running over everything seeing if I can hit the bump stops… Your correct not to worry about it. Jeep must use a heavy spring rate for the heavier hood and steel bumper.
