Finished up today installing the AEV 2.5" lift that I started last Saturday. Would have finished yesterday, but I snapped a M12 bolt for one of the front upper control arms. Seems my Milwaukee Impact on Nuclear Ugga Dugga setting was not a wise choice. Picked up a replacement bolt this morning.

Before and after measurements are below, measured center on hub from ground to bottom of fender lip. Before measurement is with a front 1" Synergy Spring lift on the front only, rear is factory with Falcon 2.1, 0"-1.5"monotube shocks.

LF 41" to 43.25"

RF 40.5" to 43"

LR 40.5" to 44"

RR 40.5" to 43.5"

Can tell the difference that this kit is engineered for better ride quality as a complete setup vs. the somewhat franken lift setup on previously.

No more reaching in behind the steering wheel. Now it is right at my fingertips.
I saw this mod when I first bought my truck. Didnt make sense to me. But maybe its for small hands? I paid attention to how I was able to flip mine up and down on the way home and didnt feel i had to do any reaching etc. But prob a good mod for you! Just trying to understand this one.

started the process of redesign/organize the rear. I wanted to keep things simple and save weight where I can. Took most of the day making the bed floor plate from 3/4" birch. That took a lot longer than I thought trying to make cutouts for all the nooks and cranies. Ended up cutting out some of the details. It fits real snug as is. Waisted another 2 hrs with a stuck bolt inside a spinning nut sert (for the fridge/kitchen slide). Finally gave up and cut off the bolt. If anyone has advice for removing the cutoff bolt and nut sert, I'm all ears. Gonna spend this coming weekend buidling a single large drawer with a set of 500lbs sliders. Planning to make a shelf above the water/house battery area to mount the badlands floor jack on a slide out tray to slide out toward the passenger side. At least that's the plan.

Began the install of my Clayton 2.5ā€ Overland plus. Got as far as getting the rear coils in. Back at it tomorrow. Would not have happened with my Amazon special coil compressor.

I get the coil spring compressor from Advanced Auto. Pay a deposit. After I return it. I get the deposit back.

Makes sense. I looked into renting a tool from O’Reilly or AutoZone, only local stores, but decided to just buy one instead. Figured for the price it’d be nice to just have it on hand to loan out to buddies or whatever.

I continue to do trips to Home Depot or Lowe’s and draw people watching me load unthinkable things in the back of the Gladiator. ? Also those little half height tailgate things at garbage. One broke today and it tried to take me out lol. For real though people sit and watch me load this thing all the time!

Yea had the same issue with the tailgate brackets. Loading up 6 sheets of 3/4ā€ treated 4x8 plywood. Mine didn’t break but they wouldn’t hold the weight, kept slipping out and slamming the tailgate down. Explains why my 3rd brake light is out lol.

Seriously! These were actually pretty good set for $55. My fear definitely dropped after the first one.

Good compressors are a must have. When I did my lift I forgot all about spring compressors so when it came time to put the springs back in I used ratchet straps and had to wind them through the springs in a certain way to get the compression the way I needed it.
needless to say I was positioning myself so that if the gave way I wouldn’t get plastered by them.
they did work good but next time I’m getting actual compressors.
