Getting ready for the long, salty MN winter. Woolwaxed the JT today. This would actually have been kind of fun if I had a lift. Not quite so much fun with just jack stands.

[Tip: if you have a ATV/motorcycle lift around, add a couple rollers to make wheel removal and replacement a lot easier!]

I installed a Softopper on my Gladiator today. I love it! It feels like it’s good quality. I’m no expert, but I’ve sewn a little canvas and sailcloth on occasion, and it seems well put together to my untrained eye.

I’m still adjusting the fit. Once I get it dialed in I’ll finish up the little details (I haven’t attached the bottoms of the front or back panels yet) but I couldn’t resist going for a ride.

Plan is to pair it with a bed rack, looking for a deal on a used one I can’t pass up - until I just can‘t stand it and order a new one.
Looks great. I ended up putting Billie bars standalone mole panels on instead of a full rack with my softtopper. I absolutely love it.

Got the last of the Metalcloak components installed. I think this went easier than expected since I took a lot of measurements prior and generally matched the new components. I still have an alignment scheduled Tuesday to see just how far off I was. Last time I was impressively close so we'll see. I will say that it drives smooth as silk and tracks perfect.

Nice.

Is that a Starlink on the roof? Also, why does it look like there’s a flanged gasket around your rear window glass? Is that something you made to fix water leakage?

That looks fantastic, and you. And still fold the topper up if needed. Great idea.
That was my thing. I folded it down twice this week. I’d been looking for a solution for three years. These have been awesome.

It’s Starlink mobility. It’s the high performance panel that works while you’re moving. The thing you see is KC Hilites adhesive wire mold. I’m using it for the Starlink cable. Starlink would have you drill a hole in your roof. There was no way I was doing that. So I went down and back up through the floor. The Starlink hardware is under the rear seat.
