Ended up mounting dual ICOM 2730 HAM radios with the remote display's on Ram Mounts. I love how easy it is to route wiring hidden all over to give a clean installation. Overall pleased with out it turned out, and I am able to see over the top of them. (Ya over the top of them only to be obstructed by the Mojave hood bulge, but whatever) Thought about doing the overhead bar or molle mount across the headliner, but deferred, aiming for a less cluttered appearance on the dash and windshield area.

Out back are dual antenna mounts. Paired with @Diode Dynamics exceptionally bright SSC1 Yellow Pro Standard LED Pods. Had some fun with the wiring though via a Whelen ULF44 LED Flasher. On AUX3 they light up as standard floodlight for rear lighting. On AUX4, they trigger a warning pattern. Cause you never know when a shitty Nissan Altima with fake paper tags and no insurance is going to be riding your ass and might need a little encouragement to BTFO.

Followed up by a desparately needed car wash. Love the black color. Hate that it always shows dust, pollen, dirt, and everything in between.

why the yellow color on the new lights? Always used a set of yellow for fog on the front. those remote radio heads are really cool.

Yellow and amber are better for cutting through dust, so ideal for a chase light. Also a good color to use at camp to not attract bugs (or at least not as many).

My Redarc controller uses a cable like a CAT3 4 pair network cable with RJ45 ends.
So if I could push a network cable through the opening and grab it from behind, it might work, but I am concerned about hitting it getting in and out after my experiences the last couple of days. I want it visible and easily reached with left hand.
I'll have to think about it a bit, I guess.
Here's the Redrac Tow-Pro installed. Out of the way of knobby knees, easy installation and easy access when I need to get in their since the connection cable is Cat3.

Yeah, what he said - and in relationship to FOG lights, the "selective yellow", as it's called there, is less reflective against the small particles and the eyes and brain get more useful light. It doesn't reflect off snow, dust and so on.

Odd - when I'm being chased all I see are blue and red lights - and they are flashing.
I find that odd...I usually see a frying pan followed by a bright white light, just before everything goes woozy and dark.

I had my brake controller box (Redarc) in a similar location in my 2020..........

I did make a brace as it was literally hanging, all of the weight of the thing, from the one flange I used to mount it -

Finally got my back up lights wired. Ran them to the aux lights so they don’t automatically turn on a blind pedestrians. They’re no joke. I angled them down more.
This weekend, I’ll have my front bumper, winch, and front lights installed. The front lights are 15k lumen. lol

It’s a mess right now, but I have everything thing figured out where to wire it and it’s all assembly now. That’s the Warn winch plate. Very high quality. I’m impressed.

Sometimes you just have to stop the bleeding. 😀
Becaue i missed open air rides to the trail, I bought the gladiator to tow the zuk buggy that ended up on 40's, I previously towed with my suburban and the Super duty I sold before that, I stated towing the zuk because It was pushing street legal
... I bought the zuk to drive daily 23 years ago because my 69 blazer needed a refresh ..... I still have it has sat because I'm gonna use that as a later project
And now I got the bug to build the Gladiator .....

nothing like vehicle trail braiding

To begin, my sister and I survived without a single scratch. Beyond blessed to make it out alive + to the man above.

3 Teens, crossing the solid line, striking my Jeep nearly killed my sister & me on the freeway.

Gave the Mojave the 21-Gun Salute for the meantime.. Stripped her naked. (I'm trying to be positive. Hopefully this shit is fixable since these dumbasses don't know how to slow down and get off their damn phones.)

Grateful to be alive. Cheers to all of y'all tonight, hug your close ones a little tighter tonight. 🍻
