They’re not cheap, but not totally insane. And they’re just bulletproof. I love having now rebuilt them, as I completely understand them. Disassembly and reassembly has always been my favorite way to learn. All done! Back on the truck. I’ll clean and reinstall the brakes after work tomorrow.

Did you do the FAD delete? I could save for some for the front. (We'll see)!

Swapped the rear spring spacer combo for a 3.5" Teraflex rears, and then tackled the front hubs, replacing the old hubs, along with some ceramic pads. The old hubs are so rusted together to the rotor, used a full can of penetrating lube to get them to break free. Still waiting for the passenger side to comply.

Have you tried to heat the rusty parts? If done carefully it works wonders.

At that rate you will be passing it on to the grandkids in your will. 🤣
😂 I'm building it up now for some overlanding / fishing trips and hoping to really start using it. My last kiddo moved out last week so we are officially empty nesters here. I have a few more projects to wrap up at my daughter's place, but am hoping to finally get around to using it.

No, and RCV does not recommend it. It puts too much pressure on the passenger side shaft seal, which is outside the fad. Seal leaks are super common with fad deletes, until later like 24/25 models where they’re not installing fads anymore.

I got on a tangent because my new front springs showed up on the porch. So fought to get one of them in. 4.5” rock krawler. The picture on the ground compares them to teraflex HD Outback 3.5” springs.

Heat is the last option if pb blaster doesn't loosen it up. 89,000 miles, and it's set itself a home. It's soaking tonight and I'll hope to finish tomorrow.

I hate using heat. I avoid the risk to parts any way I can. Sometimes it’s the only option, but I hate it.

I picked up some more pb blaster tonight. I have few errands to do tomorrow morning and then I'll soak it again. I can definitely tell the difference side to side which hub has been replaced and what hasn't. Heat is always my last choice also, unless that's the only option left after some whack, f#ck, ow attempts. I did loosen up the other hub with a drift punch in 3 different points that walked it out. Dissimilar metal corrosion and rust buildup is the issue.

Got the Undercloak 99% installed. As you can see in the pic I have one bolt that wouldn't tighten past where it is. I think the thread of the nut in the cross member are dirty. It started raining and getting dark and my 5 year old was complaining that we needed to go inside. I told him it was dry under the truck lol.

A tap should work to clean that out. Ir you can cut a slot in a bolt on each side and go in and out until it cleans out all the gunk.

I did the same in two holes on my axle a couple weeks ago. Stopped dead before the bottom. It was filled with crap.
