Buy extended warranty before ypu run out.
Nah. I have never bought extended warranty on anything in my life. Not saying they aren’t or are worth it. Just that I’m confident (stupid)enough to “think” I can fix anything that goes wrong.
Plus my diesel is too overweight. Needs to go on a diet when the warranty is done.

Glad you like the lights. Been looking at those in case I need to replace mine. Nice Sunset. Was down the road from there a few weeks ago visiting my Daughter in Callaway. Nice area for sure.

Installed Weather Tech mud flaps.

What can I say, I’m an old fart.
I have ones on front too.
Old farts.
Yeah sounds about right. Between front mud flaps and overland side steps keeps most of the mud, rocks and gunk off. At over 50 I'm starting to like side steps on some vehicles. A guy who has his truck lifted to stupid level he talked me into going with him to look at a jeep for sale. It's ridiculous to get in and out of it. Especially for a pavement princess that it is. Broken front axle and Bluetooth drives driveshaft. 🤭

I've been thinking about doing similar. Otherwise they are just folded up on a shelf in storage and I'm sure something will find them and make a nest before too long.
They actually made a comfortable seats, the passenger side two are done in similar fashion and against a wall in my cabin for seating.

Trimmed my inner fenders to fit the JKS disco retention brackets. After I welded up a harbor freight hitch skid.

That hitch skid is backwards the area toward the spare tire needs to be bent upward that will catch on stuff. Just saying

First real nighttime test of the Road Shock 6 lights. Maybe a slight adjustment needed. They definitely light up the neighborhood and then some. Not a huge night-wheeling individual, but the Texas roads at dawn and especially dusk are deer/critter time so 10 hour road trips during those twilight times will see them used.

No reveal yet, but worked all day on skids and a new front bumper. Not done yet, and went back and forth on several things, so it’s taking a while. But it’s going to be great when it’s done. It still has no grill, and the skids aren’t on yet. Repainted some brackets, and then spent most of the time removing and installing bumper and skid. The Zeon platinum 12 is so large that it’s not as straight forward as it would be with a narrower winch.
It’s not finished, and the offroad lights aren’t on yet, and it STILL doesn’t have the passenger fender. 🤣. But it’s coming along. I bought some KC flex era 3’s from a forum member a couple months ago. I decided to try them out in the fog light position, even though they might be too bright to use behind cars. I kept the factory harness connection to the jeep, but then cut the fog harness and used the KC wiring from that point. Larger gauge and better fray protection on there. Initially one of them would drop out. A google search revealed that they need to have the Jeep setting to non-led fogs. @Mightytalldude was nice enough to remind me how to use my tazer. It’d been in the glove box for 3 years. They’re working great.

The new bumper is the Next Venture Motorsports adventure series aluminum. I’m going to do a separate thread reviewing it. It’s quite a thing. But here’s how it is so far. Bumper and skid are on, the Warn Zeon Platinum 12s is back in and wired to the solenoid. And the flat link is snug against the new fairlead. I’d had the fair lead laying around for at least 2 years. It seemed like the bumper deserved it. I still need to mount the flex era 4 off road lights that were on the last bumper. But I slightly modified the mounts and needed to repaint them. So that’ll need to wait.

He’s got it right. Most hits on hitch skids it the angle or the transition. The plate going forward has to stop at some point. Here’s mine. Works great.

My suggestion since @XJFanatic is clearly a good welder; is to add protection for the chain rings.
